- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My price never exceeds the value of the work we perform. Discounts on specific projects may be available, but I prefer to discuss them with clients first.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our Process: Initial Meeting During the initial meeting, Goff Development & Design Co. will gather all pertinent information to help develop a scope of work and bid for the project. We will also provide the Client with a company folder that contains a list of referrals, letters of recommendation, and an overall introduction to our company. The information that we obtain during this stage is as follows: • Written description or list of materials items desired by Client • Digital photographs of the property • Measurements of the construction area • Any concerns about time and budgets • Blueprints and sketches, if available from the Client Proposal Presentation A meeting is set up with Goff Development & Design Co. and the Client to review the Proposal or Scope of Work for the impending project. Proposal Acceptance Upon the client's signed acceptance of the proposal, we will develop the Contract and payment schedule. Contract Preparation It contains the description of the work to be performed, cost, payment schedule, and project timeline. Beginning of Project After the Client has secured all personal belongings in any of the areas affected by construction, we will proceed with setting up our job boxes, making arrangements for portable job site toilet delivery, and any heavy construction equipment associated with the demolition or excavation of the project. During the Construction Phase All inspections will take place throughout the building process as necessary. The client will provide Goff Development & Design Co. with all final selections for Finish Products. Construction of the project will continue as outlined in the Contract. Completion of Project Final inspections will be completed during this phase. A walk-thru with the Client will be conducted to ensure that all punch list items have been addressed. A Notice of Completion will be Filed with the applicable County. All warranty and instructional manuals will be provided to the Client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While growing up, I would work summers and weekends with my father's friends, who were all part of the Local 405 Union Contractors.
