Eric Albert says, "It is now two weeks out from Casa Utopia completing our home remodel project. We are absolutely delighted with the work and outcome. The scope of our project went from simple hardwood floor replacement and painting of three rooms, to a complete bathroom remodel which included the relocation of water supply and drains.Raz was our Project Manager. He maintained open lines of communication, explained every step, and kept the project moving. Previously, our other bathroom remodel took 10 weeks (different contractor). Raz had this bathroom project finished within 4 weeks (with an additional week for the flooring replacement of the other rooms). We never felt this was a side project for them. The team was at our house every morning at 8am, and put in solid hours to get our project completed. As for quality, things I notice, all the grout lines are straight (wall and floor), the hardwood flooring was cut evenly (no jagged edging), texturing of the walls matches the walls that were not modified. We have consistency throughout. We need to also mention and thank Nicole, who was our designer. She was very patient every time we changed our mind on a design element. Her quick turn-around on the CAD drawings helped my wife visualize the final project. This gave us the confidence that we were not going to regret any aspect of the final product. If we had to do this over, we would choose Casa Utopia again. We have already recommended them to several friends."See more

Hank L. says, "Our bathrooms needed a major upgrade, so I reached out to three contractors for quotes. After speaking with each of them, I ultimately chose Daniel’s team at Clarity Construction. While they weren’t the cheapest option, I’m very glad I made this decision—we’re extremely happy with the results. The process felt well-organized, almost like a technical project with distinct phases: design and implementation. Once the contract was signed, we were added to a WhatsApp group with the entire team, which made communication easy. Responses to questions were always prompt. Jael visited during the design phase. Daniel and Kobi also visited multiple times throughout the implementaiton phase to check progress and address any issues that came up. Our designer, Jael, was wonderful to work with. She was patient, knowledgeable, and thorough, answering all my questions and helping me visualize the space through renderings. She also accompanied me to various showrooms to select the right materials. As with any renovation, things changed once the walls were opened and designs took shape, but Jael guided us through adjustments and minor alterations until the very end. One example: our master bath wall couldn’t accommodate a recessed medicine cabinet, and the surface-mount version took up too much space. We had to reorder mirrors, and the crew kindly removed and reinstalled them. Kobi even went out of his way to pick up the previous mirrors and help return them to Home Depot. Daniel handled challenges with calmness and respect. For instance, the backsplash in our guest bathroom initially wasn’t high enough. I dreaded redoing all the tile behind the vanity, but Daniel suggested adding an additional four inches of tile—a simple, elegant solution that preserved both aesthetics and functionality. For shower doors, Clarity installs premade models at no charge, but since ours were custom, they provided excellent referrals, and we’re very satisfied with the outcome. I also wanted to replace the old master bathroom window, and again, they connected us with a great window company. Their crew even helped install it without any extra cost. Kobi is a genuinely warm and thoughtful project manager. Both he and Daniel responded quickly to our questions, even during evenings and weekends. Their customer service is exceptional—both objectively and from our personal experience. The foreman, Jose, was also patient and accommodating. I had second thoughts about placing a small cabinet near the master bathroom doorway, and he helped move it to the garage, reinforcing it so it could function as a nice standalone cabinet instead. From start to finish, Clarity Construction demonstrated that they truly care about their reputation, the quality of their work, and above all, customer satisfaction."See more

Elinor T. says, "We had two projects with Axiom-Renovation. The first one was a major remodeling of our home that included complete two bathrooms remodel, floor replacement, some wall removal, windows replacement, and fresh paint. We were very happy with the results. We were pleased with working with the team so we decided to go with a second project with them and convert our 600 sqft garage into an ADU. We recently finished the second project and it came out amazing. The team was professional and stayed within budget. They provided a transparent and detailed estimate at the beginning of each project, and there were no unexpected surprises along the way. They did extra effort to shorten the timeline since we had an unexpected family visit. We will surely be happy to hire them again for future projects."See more

Ross Ludwig says, "*PSA* Ask for Aaron if youre looking for strong communication/reliable advice/great quality workmanship. He might be young, but this guy KNOWS construction more then guys with 20+years experience..Terrific experience with Wise Builders, Aaron Abramov was my Project Manager. I had to remodel 2 bathrooms because of a leak that went into my neighbors garage. I had a total of 7 companies come out with numbers all around ( Wise Builders quote being in the middle area of bids) Some guys came by and didnt measure at all. Aaron was my 3rd estimate, and the only one out of the 7 that asked me to see the neighbors garage. (why I had to remodel in the first page) Aaron took the time to understand what I needed and not once tried to sell me on something I didnt need. I just felt outright comfortable, to the point I was ready to sign a contract on the spot. Just to show you the type of person he is, he refused to take payment and said something along the lines of let me take these measurements and have the office/estimator create a detailed scope of work, sleep on it and if you have the same feeling tomorrow, lets go ahead and sign up When have you ever heard of a representative of company risk of sale like this??? Aaron is not a SALESMAN, he is a true Project Manager and professional. He then invited me to their exclusive showroom in San Jose and I felt at home and in great hands to move forward. Done deal.Communication is a key factor to me and not once did I feel like I couldnt reach him. I had to go to Mexico for 3 weeks to visit my sister and must of called and texted him 100 times. I can go on and on about how happy I am with my remodeling experience, and the outcome really turned out better then I could have hoped for. All expectations met and as well as most importantly TIMELINE. Crew is amazing, respectful. Aaron and team even made sure my sheets were washed and set up for me as soon as I returned home. Thats next level. The hardest thing nowadays a contractor you can trust and meet timelines, period. For anyone that is looking for A++ workmanship/ experience I would recommend Wise Builders, and especially Aaron. This guy is sharp and on top of his stuff. Any word that came out of his mouth was done, and done with love. I come from a background in sales, and you cant teach this stuff. Wonder who his parents are? Lol-Ross"See more

FAQs

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

There are several great options for waterproof basement flooring. For example, epoxy floors are waterproof but are thicker and sturdier than paint. Make sure the concrete substrate has been prepared for application.

Tile is a designer’s dream, giving you a moisture-resistant surface that’s infinitely customizable. Rubber sheets or tiles are also good waterproof options, particularly for playrooms, workout areas or laundry rooms.

Vinyl tiles and planks imitate wood or other materials very convincingly, provide moisture resistance and last a long time. And sheet vinyl is affordable and a great waterproofing solution for those in need of quick fixes.
