About

After years of meeting with a variety of immigration attorneys about my case, I was beginning to get extremely discouraged with the feeling that there was no solution for me out there. Considering my case was one that was quite complex, I had lost almost all hope until I met Daniel. At our initial meeting, he gave me an honest assessment of my case and let me know that he felt we had a fairly good chance of prevailing. After some consideration, I decided to retain Daniel as my attorney. Throughout the entire experience going through the citizenship application, Daniel and his staff were responsive, helpful, and honest. The day of my interview, he came with me and was right by side as the immigration officer asked me some questions. After 12 years of carrying around the weight of feeling as though I had to live in the shadows due to what all the other attorneys told me, Daniel, for a reasonable and fair fee, helped me to obtain my citizenship and begin life anew. I can't fully express how grateful I am to Daniel and if you have any immigration related issues I couldn't recommend him strongly enough.

About

Established in 1981, Heller Immigration Law Group (aka: HILG) is a full-service immigration law firm which focuses on business & employment-based immigration law. We handle immigrant and non-immigrant cases on behalf of both large and small Silicon Valley and SF Bay Area companies and start ups, including the processing of company sponsored I-140/PERM labor certification 'green card' cases, H1b work permits, Eb1/O-1 researchers & scientists, Eb2 National Interest Waivers, and the myriad of other matters which require navigating the often incomprehensible world of U.S. immigration. Although our focus is on employment-based immigration, generally on behalf of the areas highly skilled workforce, we do take on 'bona fide' marriage cases - and gladly handle citizenship processing as well. Heller Immigration has particular expertise in 'high skilled' employment-based immigration as it relates to academics, researchers and scientists, with special emphasis on retention and the hiring of highly qualified workers, i.e., quickly obtaining and properly maintaining non-immigrant visa status – and later obtaining permanent residency on their behalf. We obtain permanent residency and 'green cards' for those in fields such as: software and hardware engineering, software design, architecture & programming, electrical and chemical engineering, telecommunications, electronics, information technology, computer science, bio science, genetics and biotechnology, the nano technologies, chemistry, physics, mathematics, material science and many more. Heller Immigration Law Group assists large and small companies, human resources and hiring managers in larger entities, venture backed ‘start ups’, entrepreneurs and investors, self-petitioned scientists, researchers and academics, and institutions and the many leading edge corporations here in Silicon Valley, in complying with the complex and too often changing immigration laws and regulations. Our clients and representation include: multinational companies - large and small corporations, venture backed start ups, universities, CEOs, executives and important people around the world who trust us to represent them and their family ‘quietly'. Heller Immigration is proud to represent many known and stealth mode Silicon Valley startups, outstanding and preeminent scientists, post docs and other researchers and academics, many of whom wish to self-petition under the Eb1/EA and Eb2/NIW categories. Please don't hesitate to contact us online or call the office.

My sister is stuck in Pakistan all alone. I am worried about her future. I think the best thing for her is to try for INS permission to enter the US, work and stay there. She has the green card, which is valid until the end of July, 2013. Is there a possibility to bring her to United States based on her existing valid green card? A brief background of her case is that: 1. She had overstayed, a few days above one year in 2007 and when she tried to Pakistan to come to America, she was not allowed to travel to the US by an American embassy staff member who told her to contact the US embassy. 2. She went to the embassy and informed them about her reason for the overstay. They did not accept the reasons. 3. So, she decided to improve her educational qualifications, got admission in Comsats University, Abbottabad campus and successfully acquired the MBA degree in HR. Later she went to England, got admission in University of North Wales and successfully completed the MS Global Marketing. 4. During this time her mother expired, the only family she had in Pakistan. At present her two sisters are living in the US, one in the England and one in the Republic of Ireland. Her father being alone and old is staying with his brother’s family himself. She has no family in Pakistan. While the US Government is considering providing legal status to the illegal residents, Laila being a legal resident deserves more and may be considered for permission to return to the US. 5. It is learnt that the US government is considering providing legal immigration status to the illegal residents. If illegal immigrants can be pardoned and allowed the legal status, Laila has been Legal Resident (with a valid Green Card), is a highly educated and may be considered for permission to return to the US, on humanitarian grounds.
