A little information about me. I've been overweight most of my life and have tried countless programs to lose weight and to regain my health. One thing I had never tried was personal training. In December 2016, I found Scott Meade through Thumbtack. Scott was the first Personal Trainer to respond to my inquiry. I felt an immediate connection with him. He invited me to meet him at the gym on a Sunday. He wanted to give me a tour of the gym and for us to have a casual chat. As an obese female, I was extremely nervous to meet him. He made me feel at ease and I appreciated the time he spent with me talking about his passions; exercise and nutrition. I sensed how genuine he was. His excitement is what jumpstarted my excitement to begin this journey with him. I started training with Scott on January 2nd. Here are just a few reasons why I need Scott besides me on this journey: 1) The guy knows his stuff. Not only is he physically fit, but he's also smart. He stays current in his field and never hesitates to share new information to help develop my knowledge. He doesn't just tell me what to do, he provides reasoning and teaches me along the way. 2) He believes in me more than I believe in myself. He never allows my mental blocks to stop me from doing my best. He's positive and encourages me to tap into my positive spirit. Not always easy. 3) He's responsive and organized. He stays on top of my nutrition and provides feedback on what I'm doing well and what I need to change. He doesn't sugar coat things because that's not how we achieve results. Totally makes sense. 4) He's creative with his workouts and thinks outside of the box. Workouts are never repetitious which helps keep me dialed in. I like the variety he incorporates in my plan. 5) When I'm in the gym with him, it's about ME. I could go on and on about Scott. If you're looking for a Personal Trainer, reach out and meet him. He is THE PERFECT MENTOR. I was very busy with my professional life and forgot maintaining my body and hence I was searching for a person who is more than just a usual personal trainer. In other words I was searching for a good MENTOR who can understand me and help me reach my goals with regard to health and getting into shape. The best things is that he takes care of both workout and nutrition requirements. He first understands you well and arranges the workouts in such a way that you can get your maximum potential out and at the same time it is fun. I just followed exactly what he said and I was able to see the results in 30 days. He never missed even a single session and that shows his dedication to the job he is doing. I could not have ended up with anyone better than Scott. Since our initial conversation to today Scott is dedicated, hard working, motivating and personalizes each workout to fit where you are at. Scott is an extremely knowlegeable and friendly trainer who is very attentive and helpful to achieve your fitness goals. I am fairly new to weight lifting so I have a lot of questions from correct forms to nutrients, and Scott thoroughly explains them in a way they are easy to understand. He constantly motivates and gets me focused in the gym and challenges me to push myself beyond my limit. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?For accountability purposes and general smoothness I require a minimum block of 10 sessions be pre-paid prior to our first session...then we simply check them off as we go.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I will assess the client leading up to our first session to have a firm understanding of goals, abilities and any true physical or medical obstacles. Then we both hop on a treadmill side by side and start the process! This process of physical action and science along with constant monitoring, assessing and adjusting...combined with a consistency most have never experienced before is how we reach goals!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I’ve been deeply involved with sports and athletics my entire life. I went on to play college football. I have trained and coached martial arts for more than a decade. I am certified with several personal training and nutrition certifications.
