At Pawsitively Purrfect Pet and Home Care, we believe your pets are family, and they deserve the same love and attention they receive from you.
We are Elizabeth and Steve, a husband and wife team with over 20 years of experience caring for pets. We provide personalized pet and house sitting in Reno, Tahoe, and surrounding areas, as well as San Jose and surrounding areas.
We offer overnight pet and house sitting and once a day visits in your pets’ own home. We take pride in getting to know each pet, maintaining their normal routines, and carefully following your instructions.
We are pet parents ourselves, with four cats and a turtle, so we understand how difficult it can be to leave your beloved pets behind. Our goal is to give your pets loving, dependable care while giving you peace of mind knowing they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
Your pets are family. We are honored to care for them like our own.

Elizabeth and Steven did a phenomenal job taking care of our 14 week old labradoodle Monty and our 7 year old Jack Russell Terrier Cooper. Because of Monty's age they stayed in our home which was not something we were initially comfortable with until we met Elizabeth. She immediately put us at ease with her professionalism and friendly nature. While the dogs were under their care we received consistent updates on what they were up to. We had a change of schedule and they were incredibly accommodating. Before they left they changed out sheets, cleaned up and left a really nice note...from the dogs. I would highly recommend Pawsitively Purrfect to anyone who needs pet sitting.

The last time we went on a short trip and left our cat alone, when we returned he was stressed! After using Elizabeth, our cat was mellow, happy and content, and that's the best endorsement I can leave for anyone wanting to use her. Elizabeth did a great job, even cleaning out the cat food cans for recycle! I highly recommend her.

We have used Elizabeth and Stephen twice this year to look after our two cats while on breaks away from home and would definitely recommend them to anyone with pets. They are always thoughtful and helped put our mind at ease while away by sending us a photo of the cats chilling :)

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are based on how many animals you have and how many visits per day you need. In most cases, I do not charge extra for administering medications and water gardens.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken; business, accounting, and interpersonal communication. I have had animals as part of my family my whole life and have been a pet sitter for over 20 years.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always wanted to work with animals but being a vet was not an option. I would not be able to handle the really sick and dying animals. In 1994 I read a copy of Cat Fancy magazine about the pet sitting profession and thought now this is for me. I can work with animals who look forward to seeing me and get to spend time playing and caring for more than I could ever have on my own. I do care for some sick animals once in a while giving them medication and fluids but because it is not part of my everyday routine so I am happy to care for them.
