Introduction: Saxophone, Flute, & Clarinet Lessons ALL AGES AND SKILL LEVELS With over 25 years of private lesson experience, Mike can customize lessons for all students. Private music lessons are available on saxophone, flute, and clarinet for students of all ages and skill levels. One-on-one instruction gives students a better opportunity to learn the fundamentals of their instrument as well as the ability to help improve their technical skills. We also cover important techniques, such as how to practice at home and how to learn songs and exercises in a short amount of time. Topics that are covered in lessons include: -Technical Exercises -Reading Techniques -Theory -Scale Studies -Introduction into various musical styles (Classical, Jazz, Popular, ect.) -Assistance with working on ensemble music (school or community ensemble) Currently, all lessons are conducted either in-person or online through the use of the Zoom app, which can be used on a computer, tablet, or smartphone. All students are required to have the following items for music lessons: -Instrument (in working order) -Reeds (except flute) and other necessary accessories -A device to connect to Zoom and a good internet connection (ONLINE LESSONS) -Music Book/ Sheet Music (a recommendation will be made if the student does not have) -Metronome (to keep tempo while playing at home) In-person lessons are currently available on Mondays-Thursdays and Saturdays at: Music Village 2971 Union Ave San Jose, CA 95124 I look forward to helping all students achieve their musical goals!
