Restoratives are especially valuable for yoga practitioners or health nuts who are simply stressed-out, and students who have challenges and limitations with their physical health. All the restorative yoga poses, asanas, are done in a passive manner, often using props such as blankets, straps and blocks, gravity, time or long holding, and compassion as tools of release. This formula allows the student's body to profoundly surrender, and their hearts and minds to let go.

My practice with Megan McCarver began over 4 years ago upon a recommendation from my chiropractor to try yoga. Following an accident that left me depressed & feeling that I would not be able to return to my active lifestyle, including rigorous exercise, Megan and her style of teaching put me back on track. Now, yoga is part of my daily life & I owe Megan credit for her gentle guidance and compassion. Namaste!

Megan McCarver has been my yoga teacher for 5 1/2 years. When I started looking for a Yoga teacher I also wanted to learn the spiritual side of yoga which Megan truly has a gift for. Megan is an excellent teacher. The first thing she taught me was how to breath properly.She has taught me several types of yoga. She will always be there to correct and help you. My posture has been corrected since taking yoga and she has improved my self confidence. I have taken a few other yoga classes over the years to compare, but I didn't find anyone even close to Megan. Megan is a beautiful person but most of all she has taught me about being compassionate.I have never had a mentor but now I have Megan! Namasti Aida

I've been studying yoga with Megan for four years and don't intend to stop. Her compassion for her students is endless and she is somehow able to tailor her teaching to each individual student in her classes. She has a knack for describing poses in ways that clarify their intention and help us to maintain focus. She is a stickler for detail, which means I do the yoga correctly and receive maximum benefit. I repeatedly get individual attention, sound advice, numerous insights, and valuable "aha" moments.
