FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certification, National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer, ACE and AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor, NASM Weight Loss Specialist, NASM Women's Fitness Specialist, American Red Cross CPR/AED, Licensed Zumba Instructor, Licensed Master POUND Instructor (poundfit.com)
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with virtually every kind of client. I've worked with weight loss clients, young professionals, clients recovering from surgeries or injuries, seniors working to increase stability, balance and independence, people who have never worked out a day in their life, teenagers, and clients living with disabilities such as Dystonia, Polio, and paralysis. It's a wide spectrum of individuals but the ones who have succeeded all have one thing in common: they stuck with me for the long haul, they showed up and they dared to step out of their comfort zones.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When it comes to finding a personal trainer, the best advice I can give is that one size does not fit all. Everyone has different goals, lifestyles and personalities. It's important to find a trainer that can provide a safe and effective workout, but it is just as important to find someone with whom you get along. Personal training is a relationship, and you need someone who inspires you, motivates you, and maybe even makes you laugh. Someone with all the experience in the world could end up being the wrong fit for you, and that's OK. Don't be afraid to try someone new if the relationship doesn't feel right.
