You know how some people say the gym is like their sanctuary? Or happen to have a friend that can’t miss a day “crushing it” at the gym? Well I’m not one of them... I’m not a gym-goer by any means. I like activities! I run, hike, kayak, SUP and adventure frequently, but the gym… not my scene, not my vibe. Backtrack a year to an irritated IT band and a halt in training for our favorite City-to-Sea ½ marathon and I thought the answer was just, I should stop running for a bit. Pretty silly in retrospect that I easily blew off one of my passions thinking that my body just needed to rest. Let me just say, thank goodness I crossed paths with Mike. Few minutes into describing my aggravating knee pain, he worked his magic on my knee, let me know of some stretches to keep my mobility, and said I could most definitely benefit from a strengthening program to make my body work synchronously instead of perpetuating imbalances in different muscle groups that could be contributing to my pain. So here I am, post a couple month-long personalized strength training program with him, pain free and stronger than I’ve been in a long time. Now remember how I said I’m not a gym-er? I’m still not.. it's intimidating. I’ve never lifted weights really in my life but let me tell you, Mike is the real deal. His light hearted, can-do attitude definitely put my anxious heart at rest and helped me find motivation to do something that truly scared me.. and dare I say it, have some fun along the way. He excels at enabling his clients to find that happy medium of pushing yourself safely but getting the most from your workout because c’mon, without someone coaching me through form, technique, and showing me how my body really can do that last rep of kettlebell swings when I feel like sitting down and calling it quits, I probably wouldn’t see the results I have today. Pretty thankful for this guy right here and the hard work he invests in helping his clients reach their goals for mobility, strength and pain reduction and would highly recommend any of his services.

I had body work done by Mike and to say he helped ease my neck, shoulder, and low-back pain/discomfort is an understatement. I've had a knot in my neck for years, thought it might just be part of my spine, tried yoga, massages, chiropractors but nothing had helped. When I told Mike about this pain point he was determined to alleviate the mess of tissue that was in there. He took so much time to work it out and never easy on me! Mike is so easy-going, can tell you the science of your body's aches and pains, and provides great conversation and vibes. Lastly, he has taken extremely cautious measures to ensure a safe environment for body work during the pandemic. Thank you, Mike!!
