Steve Barkolas of TLA Computer Services has supported out computer system at Equative, Inc. for the last 11 years. He has made numerous improvements - speeding up our system, maintaining our computers and making our network safer. Before Steve worked on our firewall, we had received several attacks on our network. After he configured our system - we have been much better protected - and are seeing almost no attacks.

I had over 1000 pictures and videos on my Mac when it suddenly broke in 2011. Apple told me I have to take it to Northern California and it would cost me about $2000 with no guarantee for recovering my pictures. So I left my old laptop behind and bought a new one. After 7 years, Ali fixed my laptop last week and he was able to recover over 80% of my pictures and videos!!!! It was a fantastic news and I feel so thankful now! I will definitely recommend this talented young man. He is so knowledgeable at his job and he absolutely knows what he is doing! If he says he can do it, he really mean it :)
5/16/14 Jeff Sparksworthy was our on-site and by-phone computer support service for our 7-station computer system at our Carnelian Bay, CA (Lake Tahoe) dental office AND our three-station network at our home for at least a quarter century. Of all the computer geeks with whom we've worked in the last 30+ years, Jeff is the most consistently excellent, high-quality, knowledgeable, kind, patient, consistent and responsible. In all those years he was ALWAYS on time, ALWAYS available, regardless of time of day or day of week. AND he did not just fix stuff, he expended great efforts in teaching us, very effectively, how to prevent computer problems and how to fix them ourselves so that we didn't need his services so much (which was also our approach with preventive dentistry in our practice all those years). Jeff seems to be expert in nearly all areas of computer technology and is able to access any information needed extremely quickly and apply it to whatever problem arises. His memory regarding every minute detail of every client's particular needs is truly amazing. Regarding "Point out what could have been better What would have improved your experience? What went wrong, if anything? How could Jeff Sparksworthy do better in the future?" Aside from consistently harming his business by under-charging his clients for his superior service, the main thing that went wrong with Jeff's service is that, because of the perceived medical needs of his in-laws, he moved his family to San Diego to be more available to them. That was tragic for us. What could Jeff do better? Move back to Tahoe & resume his on-site services for us. Sure, he's kind enough to resolve most software problems by auto-connect systems & phone, but for hardware problems, we gotta ship our computers back & forth to him. Not particularly convenient. Our email server crashed, we had quotes to have it resolved that came in very high. One company came onsite and then said they needed to call Microsoft and wanted us to pay for the call!
