Introduction: My family comes from taquero / fondas ( taco stands and small restaurants) in Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico. I grew up in the restaurant environment, which I learn to love :)! I learn to cook from my mom ! She always loved the kitchen and I would help her in their business and at home! My dad thought me all the taqueria such as using trompo and chopping the veggies with speed! As i grew older I try other jobs but I was not happy so I decided to start my catering business back in 2015. I started from my home and was blessed to have wonder people supporting me alone the way and was able to expand to a full size restaurant ( Chico’s taqueria in San Mateo ca). I love interacting and meeting new people and cooking for them! I like to create an environment when I’m cooking and give my customers the best experience with our food! I was looking for a taco catering company on pretty short notice for a work event. Francisco was super helpful and got my event arranged in no time. He arrived on time, ready to set up, and got situated very quickly to start serving. We had chicken, al pastor (pork) and asada (beef) for our proteins. Options included: nachos, tacos or quesadillas. He also grilled fresh jalapenos and onions and brought rice, beans, cilantro, radishes, 3 kinds of sauces, as well as giving us the option to choose 2 of 5-6 aguas frescas. We got horchata and pineapple and they were so good!!
All in all, the price $20/person was super reasonable for what we got. Everything was made fresh and hot, and was super tasty.

Do not book with these guys, they are scammers!!!
Our initial call went great, gave me great expectations and were very accommodating. They mentioned they recently had a name change so Red Taco does have much social media/photo presence. Sent me pictures and venmo of Chico Taqueria. As soon as I sent them venmo for deposit on the truck, they ghosted me. I’ve been trying to reach them for confirmation for the last month and they have not said one word.
