Working with Holly and her team has been great! They take care of everything, are efficient with responses, and create a plan that is specific to you. I was having trouble keeping motivated and feeling discouraged about not seeing results, but with the HRF community, I have never felt so empowered and supported. She has a team of trainers that work with her to develop specifc excercises based on what your looking for and even help with the nutrition side to get the best results. TL;DR • Learn which metrics to focus on for motivation • They work around injury to keep you moving forward, SAFELY • I saw positive changes in my body within a month • Quick to reach when you have questions • They easily work with food restrictions • Excellent Pinterest collection with delicious recipes • Topical emails to help with little hang-ups, ex. snacking • They won’t make you run until you puke (I was actually afraid of that…) • I’m 100% satisfied and I had FUN and really liked everyone I worked with! After years of trying to begin exercising on my own, only to either hurt myself and quit, or quit because I didn’t see results, it was clear I needed specific one-on-one guidance. I’d read and watched all sorts of fitness content online, but I needed something tailored to me. The internet had left me overloaded with instructions, exercises, and meal plans… I really needed someone to cut out all that noise and tell me exactly what to do. I needed professional help. I reached out to Holly and set up my first strength training session with Vanessa via Zoom (this was during shelter-in-place). After this session and a couple conversations, it was clear that these were the right people to work with, so I signed up for 10 more sessions. After 11 strength training sessions with Vanessa, some running, and a few dietary tweaks, I’m definitely looking more fit. I still have a long way to go, (I mean, I’ve only been doing this for a little over a month) but there’s NO DOUBT that I’m becoming more tone. My bulges and sagging areas are smoothing out because of the muscle being built. They’ve taught me which metrics to focus on in order to measure my results, and that has kept my motivation strong. It’s clear that their professional skills are top-notch, and in addition, Holly and Vanessa have best in class personalities. When something arises, a hurt joint or a non-exercise related injury, they know how to work around those issues and keep you moving forward without hurting yourself further. Once I finally was able to meet Vanessa in a park (following social distancing rules) I had… FUN?! I’m really excited about my improvement and a future of staying fit! If you’re struggling to find the right, healthy balance for yourself, this IS the place to start. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?The first step is the 60 minute consultation to discuss what areas of your body you'd like to change. Then, I develop a plan to get you to your goal. This will determine the amount of sessions you will need monthly and weekly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a BA from San Francisco State and over 10 personal training certifications.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?My calling in life is to help others take control of their diet and exercise habits.
