About
It makes my day if I can fix someones problem. I will ALWAYS show up and won't quit until your task is done.
I have a partnership with 3 other Marin based Handymen, which insures that we are bringing the right skills to the job.
I have always been mechanically inclined. I was fixing things in my parents house from the age of 9 on. I have owned several fixer uppers and turned them into great homes! I enjoy the challenge of both diagnosing the problem and then creating a fix.

Working with Advocate Systems was fantastic. We had a tricky job - disassembling, repairing and reassembling a large deck umbrella - and it was done quickly and professionally. Highly recommend!

Ralph was wonderful! He responded quickly to messages, was punctual, and easy to work with! He installed two sets of floating shelves, a large mirror, a ceiling light, and closet mirrors. I would definitely hire him again!

Ralph arrived at the time we agreed on. He was able to repair and adjust all the inside door locks that were not working properly. He was pleasant and professional and his hourly price was reasonable. It was a good experience working with him. Thank you.

He was 15 minutes late but notified me. He had to remove screws he made in the wall because it was too close to the other piece. He worked quickly and was done within 2 hrs as I had predicted the job would take.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will work with you to scope out the full extent of the job beforehand. Everything from what is needed to how long it will take and what will be needed from you in order to make the work possible.
I will let you know when options are available and the pros and cons of each, including the differences in cost.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have been doing this for years and service about 200 jobs per year. So, I have honed the skill of being able to scope out a job pretty quickly.
I have become quite good at knowing what I will need, both in parts and labor as long as you can tell me just a little bit about the job.
If you are not sure what is needed, have no fear. I will come to you and throw out ideas. Show you pictures etc., until you have figured out what you want.
Once I commit to your job, then I will be there no matter what.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had a unique skill for mechanical things all my life. My summer jobs from high school on have been about fixing things. Most recently was a job with a high end cabinet company.
40 years of experience has put me in the category of "been there done" that :)
