At first I was a little scared only because this was my first catered event. I didn't know if the tacos would be bland, flavorless, undercooked and all those things that come across your mind with the stress of pleasing everyone. I usually do the cooking myself for any gathering or event. That being the case, I miss out on some of the fun. For the first time I wanted to be involved in the party and not slave away on a grill or kitchen. Alvaro reached out to me within days of joining thumbtack. I loved that idea...Tacos, you can't go wrong with tacos! Specially when they're cooked by someone who's been in the business for a very long time and has many great reviews of happy customers/consumers under him. I was not disappointed at all. In fact I was taken back. He was very curtious, professional and met my needs. He arrived at my party 2 hours early with his daughter ( I love that his daughter was his assistant and a great one I'll add) to prep his station and cook everything. They were very professional and welcoming to my guests. The pricing was fair and the package I got was magnificent. Nothing beats fresh and quality. His meat was very tender and delicious. I was given authentic Mexican tacos! Not the Americanized and bland stuff I've tasted at parties. This wasn't Chipotle, Taco Bell or Del Taco. This was your authentic carne asada, pollo y al pastor. Everyone at my event enjoyed the food. He packaged my left overs in nice seperate containers for me to enjoy after he left. I highly recommend him, my family member was quick to hire him for her graduation party coming in May. If you have a party to host and want to trust that the food is gonna be taken care of so you can relax and enjoy the party hire Alvaro. Alvaro should open a local or get a food truck. I would gladly follow him around for some tacos. Thanks for the delicious food Alvaro. See you in May

He was wonderful. I would absolutely use him again. He was friendly and professional. The food was delicious and all my guests raved about how good it was. I had 60 people so it was a good sized event and he had no problems serving everyone. We even had food left over to keep. The price was fair in my opinion. And SO worth not having to provide food myself for that many guests. All in all he is 5 stars!

Alvaro and his team are wonderful! When it comes to my food I am very picky. From the brands they use to the marinate and so on. Let me just say the food was amazing and the service was perfect! I highly recommend and one hosting a event to give him a call!

The catering experience from Alvaro's Tacos was outstanding. The food was great and the service was perfect. Alvaro was great to work with and I felt was extremely satisfied with the job he and Tim did. He delivered the food on time and did a great job of setting it up and cleaning up afterwards. I would highly recommend Alvaro's services.
