- Katherine B.
Sarah Baxter is such an incredible teacher. I love that she genuinely cares about the progress that her student is making. She pays attention to how you learn and what works best for you. She then smoothly switches gears and changes her teaching strategy to best suit your learning needs. She is definitely the type of teacher that inspires you to want to do and be better than you would be otherwise. As someone who has a difficult time committing to anything besides resting after work I have to give her the highest regards. She is enthusiastic about teaching and keeps you engaged. I highly recommend taking her course.

FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? Each new customer has their own personal story about music and about their own voice. I do my best to discover what their voice IS, and to help release it through singing. No matter how much or how little training you have, EVERYONE can sing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have trained and performed in various vocal programs and chorales, but the most powerful vocal training I have received has been singing with my family. I have performed opera, musical theater, vintage jazz and swing, the "Great American Songbook," pop, and have sung with a swing band and an indie folk rock band. I am also a Music Together teacher (helping families make music with each other at home.)
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have always sung, but also always lacked confidence in performing. I did not think my voice was anything special (despite what other people said.) Even after I started performing in a chorus and began feeling more confident, I still held back from opportunities I really wanted. Fast forward to 15 years ago, when serendipity gave me the chance to sing in different styles of bands and I really started to sing out. I undertook more vocal training a few years ago to polish and improve my technique and confidence (with the amazing April Diamond.) After working with her for a while, I realized I really want to help more people find their confidence and their voices. I have been taking students for a short while, but I am seeing great growth and I am so excited to help more people SING!
