My dog had had prior training but was still showing some problem behaviors that I had no idea how to change (stubborness, not listening to commands, not coming when called, pulling on leashes). The old trainer's negative-feedback methods weren't working, and were making me frustrated. This was bad for me, and for my dog. Darya diagnosed this right away. She has a much more enlightened, sensitive approach to animals. She figured that my dog was anxious as a result of his former training. She has taught the dog (and me) ways to change the problem behaviors specifically, but is holistic in her approach to training, and is working to make my dog better-adjusted in general: more "like a dog," but a more mellow and attentive dog. Highly recommend her as a trainer!

Darya knows her stuff when it comes to dogs. In just a few short sessions my dog's behavior has improved miraculously. After working with her I feel confident that I now have the skills to interpret and correct my dogs undesirable behaviors and My dog has been so much happier and responsive after working on boundaries and setting up a routine program. Darya is simply the best and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog trainer.

Darya is such an awesome trainer to work with. She takes great time and detail in first assessing the needs you particularly seek to work on. She helped me implement the practices I had hoped we could address with my dog using positive but firm training. She I extremely responsive and goes the extra mile! Darya is exactly what our family needed. Our Great Dane has always been exceptionally playful and loving but anxious which has been her sensitive area. After having our baby she became more anxious and protective over the house. All in good intent but her newfound “confidence” to protect our family and house left us worried about people coming to our home or having new dogs approach us on walks. Darya has this connection with dogs that is truly amazing. Immediately she was able to size up our pup and give us insight on things to understand and work on. I highly recommend her and hope she can help you the way she has helped our family.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start of with my free evaluations. This allows me to evaluate your dog/s and see what triggers stand out and what challenges the client is having. I am able to asses the owners as well, and have a more clear understanding what program is required for training and therapy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I enrolled in to a school in 2010 called Ojai School Of Massage.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It started off as a hobby of mine. I would start with my own dogs and moved onto helping friends. In 2010 I enrolled into Ojai School of Massage where I learned about canine massage eastern and western styles and techniques. You will learn how canine massage techniques helped solve unwanted behaviors. Now, Combining dog training and Canine massage, increases your chances for success.
