After one class, my dog is much better.Sep 4, 2020VerifiedSanta Barbara Dog Whisperer's reply
Hi Mindy, It was a pleasure meeting you and your super cute 8 week old puppy! So glad she is doing better! All the best, Ronit
We adopted a senior mini-dachshund terrier named Peggy earlier this year.Unfortunately she had really bad anxiety, was peeing all over the house, and constantly barking at every little noise, visitor and dog in sight. She even bit our niece!Thankfully we found Ronit, and after three sessions our dog's personality has completely changed. Ronit taught us how to be assertive, calm Peggy's anxiety and even helped us correct her barking response! We had a dozen friends over this weekend and Peggy was amazingly well behaved- everyone loved hanging out with her.I highly recommend Ronit for all your dog training needs!!Jul 12, 2019Review from GoogleSanta Barbara Dog Whisperer's reply
Hi Aman, Thank you so much for your review and I am so happy Peggy is happier and easier for you! All the best, Ronit
My rescue dog was so difficult, aggressive and hard to control. He lunged, barked and was hostile to both people and dogs. I was desperate. Ronit made a big change even in our first session. After 3 sessions he was a different dog. She trained me as well as the dog! Now he is calmer, easier and we both enjoy our walks. Ronit is a true dog whisperer!Oct 17, 2018Review from GoogleSanta Barbara Dog Whisperer's reply
Thanks for your great review Richard! All the best, Ronit
Ronit surprised me solving all the issues that we had with Duke. She was able to identify his bad behaviors (and ours!) quickly and gave us immediate pointers and solutions. She was extremely professional, patience, caring, and efficient. Duke was adopted and he has always been passive and calm, but our walks together were far away from great. He used to pull me, bark and sometimes be aggressive to other people that talked to me. At home if we had someone visiting he would bark at them and nibble sometimes. We searched for multiple options, but Ronit answered immediately and was very helpful even before we decided to work with her. She came over to our home and give us immediate solutions for Dukes behavior. Just with one hour, we were able to correct his behavior at home and make him follow rules when we had visitors. On the second appointment, we were able to walk Duke without any problems! I was extremely impressed by Ronits ability to see the problems and find quick solutions to his behavior. She pointed out her techniques and ALL of them worked! On our final session, we were able to walk Duke in a doggie park, next to kids and he had ZERO reactions, he was calmed and able to follow directions. He has changed for good. We are able to take him places with us and enjoy our walks together. I cannot thank her enough for everything that she has done for us and Duke. Thank you Ronit!Feb 13, 2020Review from GoogleSanta Barbara Dog Whisperer's reply
Hi Bea, Thanks so much for this review and I am so pleased to have helped you guys with Duke! All the best. Ronit
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge $135/hour and I have a package of 3 x 1 hour sessions for $375. You can decide after the first session if you want the package and you would pay for it then. Most people get the help they are looking for in 3 sessions, some in just one or two sessions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I normally go to the home first to see how the dog is in its own environment. If the dog is problematic at the door we will address this later. We go for a “structured walk” where the dog is right by our sides. I show the dog what I want and I then show the client how to do what I am doing. We often deal with dog or people aggression by going to an on-leash park. I help the clients with whatever difficulties they have, like separation anxiety, aggression etc., showing them how to communicate clearly with their dog and helping them to learn and understand communication that works for a dog.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Senior Teacher of The Alexander Technique since 1992. Trained with Cesar Millan, The Dog Whisperer, in 2013. Completed Animal Animal Communication and Tracking course with Anna Breytenbach and Jon Young in 2015.
