YesK-9 Training and Behavior

I've worked with all sorts of dogs and people--from police dogs to therapy dogs, police officers, kids, families, stroke victims, special needs kids and adults, hospital patients, and victims of trauma. At one point early on, I became an only parent, with two young children, and FOUR big dogs. I know how difficult--and rewarding--it all can be. While it is a thrill to see an officer-K-9 team in action, and amazing to see what a handler and therapy K-9 team can do for a patient, or a trauma victim, or someone with terminal illness, it is also enormously rewarding to help individuals and families develop better understanding and better relationships with their dogs. When it is all working well, the fun is unlimited! I love seeing the potential in dogs that people have become frustrated with, then working with both the people and the dogs to make life more harmonious.
