Online lessons provided with discount in this unprecedented time! Hope every one could learn piano in safe and effective way! My studio is located at Santa Clara where is convenient to the most cities of south bay area. I have more than 20 years piano teaching experience for varied age students from 4 to adults including professional piano college students because I used to be a pro piano teacher at university of my original country. Besides, I have very strong academic background: I had master degree of piano education and performance; I was the winner of America protégé international piano competition and played at Carnegie Hall. I was also invited to perform at the award ceremony on the fifth film festival of Silicon Valley. My students also very enjoy playing piano. Some students achieve high performance level such as being the winner of some international piano competitions. Some are passed the ABRSM exam with distinction honor. Excellent academic background plus good class administration and communication support me being a good piano teacher. p.s. All the students come to my studio which located at the Intersection between Lawrence Expy & Stevens Creek Blvd Santa Clara 95051.

I am 3 months into my lessons with Cheryl and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The training regiment is highly effective and her knowledge about everything piano-related is extensive. What I appreciate the most about her lessons is how detail-oriented she is about the way I play each piece. Her suggestions and corrections allow me to really enjoy the songs I play because they sound so nice once I make the adjustments. The last thing I want to say is that Cheryl’s skill as a pianist is phenomenal. I really enjoy when she demos more complicated pieces and I’ve made it my goal to be as skillful as her one day.

I'm an adult learner and has been learning piano with Cheryl for half a year. I have interviewed with several teachers I found on thumbtack and the reason I chose Cheryl is because I was really impressed by her performance of Nocturne 9 op 2 upon my first visit to her place. I have practiced this piece and have seen almost all the performances on YouTube. Her playing is absolutely the best! At that time I was really happy and honored that I can learn piano from such a great teacher! Throughout the half year learning from Cheryl, I made huge progress and am very satisfied. Cheryl is not like other teachers who will always make you happy even your performance is bad: she has a high standard and always let you know what you can do better to reach perfection, even for a short piece on Czerny 599. I would admit sometimes it's a little bit frustrated and painful to practice a lot to reach the bar to "pass", but I really enjoyed this process since I know my efforts won't be wasted and I can see my progress. Besides training your techniques and skills, Cheryl also taught me how to mix your emotion into your playing, so that the music will be more touching and vivid. When she taught me a piece of music she will also introduce me the background and history of that composer. I really appreciate Cheryl's responsibility and high standard. Without her I can't make so much progress. I would highly recommend Cheryl if you really love piano and want to excel on piano!

I am an adult but I don't have any experience on piano before. I started learning because I would like to have something interesting in my daily life. Ms Xiao is very professional and patient. I am satisfied with the progress I made in only 3 months so far. I would highly recommend her to anyone who want to learn piano.

Cheryl Xiao is an excellent piano teacher. I happened to know her from this website, and felt lucky to have her as my piano teacher. She has a very solid piano and music background, and always gives us her best advices on how to improve our piano skills. In addition, she's kind and patient, so that we feel comfortable and relaxed practising piano with her. I highly recommend her to anybody who's interested in learning piano.
