I had a consultation with Dave. My fur babies took to him as soon as he walked in. He was very calm and professional and very honest. He didn’t come in with a pitch of why he would be the best trainer, we just had a conversation and it felt very natural and comfortable. After hearing my concerns, he told me what he thought the problem was and how we can try to fix it. I am confident that he is the best trainer for my dogs and I will start training with him very soon.Jul 10, 2018Verified
Dave has been an amazing trainer and resource for me and my recently adopted a retired racing greyhound, Falkor. Falkor was friendly and to my eye didn't appear to have any serious behavior issues, but I sought out a trainer because I had trouble teaching him basic commands or even motivating him to do much of anything. Through our sessions, Dave has taught me to recognize his underlying anxiety and lack of confidence that was causing what I perceived to be general greyhound laziness. During our first session, Falkor got so excited that he starting chasing and throwing around his toys, something he had never done before. My neighbors have even noticed how much of a happier dog he is. He will now happily walk up to strangers on walks to say hi or take food from your hand. He now loves toys and gets excited to greet other dogs. His transformation through our training with Dave has been amazing. He takes such a gentle and calm approach to the training, which is something Falkor really responded well to. Dave is a master of canine body language, and made sure never to push Falkor more than he was ready to. He is also an amazing resource between sessions, always available with tips and advice on how I could work to build Falkor's confidence.Nov 21, 2018Verified
**Dave "gets" dogs, and its clear the dogs "get" Dave too. He is up to date and very knowledgable on the science ( vs so many myths and common misconceptions) of how to motivate dogs and bases his training from science utelizing positive training methods. * He taught me "clicker" style training without the clicker) and how to improve my timing for marking behavior for reinforcement. It has made a positive difference to "come when called" and in obedience when on walks. **Dave is prompt, personable, and straightforward in communication. He was very understanding when appointments needed to be rescheduled and then cancelled for a few months. ***His genuine concern for the dog ,( and their human), is evident. Dave is a delight to work with. I wholeheartedly recommend him.... almost as much as Leo Lambchop, my little Maltese poodleOct 15, 2014

Great philosophy towards dogs; quick response to my needs; Dave and Andy, the walker, are fabulous. Most important is my dogs really seem to enjoy Andy. Would recommend to others. My husband is a Veterinarian so his input meant the most and he is thrilled too.Aug 9, 2014Verified
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Rocky was the typical Pit Bull-mix you see at shelters everywhere. I adopted him at 7 months old. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2005 and lived a miraculous 2 years and 8 months after diagnosis. It was his will to live that changed my life forever. Seeing how hard one dog will fight for his life made me realize that no dog should be seen as disposable. No matter the issue, every single dog has a path to rehabilitation. - Dave Dreyfus, Founder, EveryDog EveryDog's ultimate goal is to have a non-profit clinic where pet parents can bring their pet with cancer or other long-term illnesses and get the care they need, regardless of financial constraints.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Dog walking, sitting, and training.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Make sure you do your homework when choosing a dog trainer or dog walker. Schooling, credentials, and philosophy matter greatly, and you MUST feel comfortable and TRUST whomever you are entrusting your dog with.
