Introduction
I specialize in finding the emotional peak of any moment. Whether it’s lifestyle, portrait, event, sports, or family photography: I’ve found there’s always some fleeting second in which all of the elements align, and I’m truly passionate about capturing these moments.
I’m a Los Angeles-based photographer and graduate from the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts, and I’d love to photograph you, your kids, your grandparents, dog, event, passion project, whatever! I’m happy to travel to location, or shoot something personal to you in your backyard.

Matt shot our holiday photos and I loved them so much! He was so patient with us (and our crazy dogs!) and his energy made us all feel calm and comfortable. Turn around time was a couple of days and I was really impressed with the quality. Would def recommend!

Matt is amazing to work with. He is kind, quick and makes it all so easy. I have hired him a couple of times to shoot my son who isn’t the most comfortable in front of a camera and he always seems to have a good time with Matt. I will definitely hire him again.

Matt did my headshots a few years ago and did a fantastic job! He shot outside with me and we discovered some interesting backgrounds to shoot with which broke up the monotony of typical photoshoots. Matt also has more of artistic eye which made for some unique photos. I would hire him again without blinking an eye!

Matt Block did my Behind-The-Scenes photography for my short film, “SWIM”, and he took some phenomenal photographs. Matt was able to capture real, honest, candid moments on set and produced gorgeous photos that helped us remember the production. On top of being an excellent photographer, he’s also an incredibly nice and professional guy. I am definitely going to go to him again for my next shoot
