Introduction: Bonjour à tous! Je m’appelle Jasmin. Enchantée! Originally from Paris, I have been teaching the French language in California for over 9 years. I offer personalized classes for children and adults and enjoy tailoring custom designed lessons for all skill levels between beginner and advanced speakers. Depending on your goals, we can work on basic French for an upcoming vacation, French grammar specific to a profession, accent reduction, conversational French and so much more! I have been working with Jasmin Chassagny for a little over a month and in a very in-depth, one-on-one setting. As a French speaker who had been out of the classroom for quite some time, I was looking to refresh my grammar and conversation skills. Jasmin replied to my Craigslist add in less than 24 hours and offered to first meet with me for a trial meeting to ask about my interests, needs and to develop a study plan that would work for me. We discussed my needs and goals for about 40 minutes in detail and since then, Jasmin has worked with me for 1.5 hrs each week, in which time my French writing and speaking has improved by leaps and bounds. She takes it upon herself to track my progress; ensure that lessons build on prior learning from week to week; provides worksheets for me and books a classroom space for us each week. In terms of her presentation, she is a firm but very warm person and teacher and also very patient when reviewing grammer and conjugation concepts and when teaching writing, conversation skills and vocabulary. I was especially impressed by her command of French literature and film, which is incredibly wide-ranging. Since these are also interests of mine, I've already benefitted hugely from her recommendations and our discussions on these topics. I also work, travel and am very busy, so it was important to find someone who could work with my schedule and meet me close to where I live and work, which Jasmin did not hesitate to do. Finding someone who was responsive, consistent, polite and with a strong command of teaching French was important to me and Jasmin has these qualities in spades. If you want to find someone nice, who also has a rigorous understanding of French language and culture and who will be responsive to your needs as a student, I cannot recommend Jasmin highly enough.

Ms. Chassagny has been tutoring our son for over a year now. She is an excellent teacher, with great knowledge and personality to effectively work with students of any age group. She is genuinely interested to see her students to succeed. Ms. Chassagny is very easy to coordinate lessons with, as she always responds promptly making scheduling very easy...and as an added bonus, she actually speaks French as it is spoken in France and a great resource about the French culture.

Jazmin has been teaching French to my daughter for about a year. Jasmine is calm and patient also very imaginative and resourceful always trying to find new methods to make the class fun and attractive. My daughter loves French class day!!!
