Buro none went above and beyond in completing overhauling our kitchen, bathrooms (2), pantry/bar, and a laundry room. The end result ended up even more beautiful than I had expected. Lena was the consummate professional throughout the entire project. She found amazing pieces and executed and enhanced our vision flawlessly. We will be using Buro none again and again and have even referred them to other family members. Her organization and eye for design is unmatched. I am so looking forward to many more projects with her in the future.

Details: Design of 1 - 2 rooms • Kitchen • Bathroom(s) • 500 - 1,000 sq ft • Color palette / paint selection • Lighting selection • Furniture selection • Eclectic • Shabby Chic • Craftsman / Farmhouse • My home, venue, etc.

Hiring an Interior Designer to help is an expense many people aren't exactly prepared for. It seems like you can figure things out on your own, but do yourself a favor and please hire Lena. I exhausted my resources (houzz, blogs, google, pinterest, instagram) and was driving myself crazy before hiring her and I should have done it months ago. Not only is she a total delight to work with, but she is a truly gifted designer who has helped me realize my aspirations and has exceeded all of my expectations. I truly could not have accomplished this without Lena's help. So in retrospect, I view the hiring of Buro None an investment rather than an additional cost.

My husband and I hired Bureau No1 for a design of our new apartment. Lena listens carefully to all clients’ needs and then gives design solutions which are unprecedented. Her architectural academic training in both architecture and interior design makes her a truly unique professional who knows how to calibrate the two. Highly recommend!

Lena is knowledgeable in architecture & interior design. She provided me with several options for various design issues that we would face. Lena is courteous and friendly and appears to have a good work ethic, which is important. Unfortunately, life throws unexpected curve balls at you and I was unable to proceed with the project. However, I will contact her when I am ready to proceed.

Details: Design of 3 - 4 rooms • Kitchen • Living room • Dining room • Bedroom(s) • Bathroom(s) • 2,500 - 3,000 sq ft • Space planning / layout • Furniture selection • Window treatments selection • Accessories / art selection • Contemporary • Midcentury Modern • My home, venue, etc.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Depending on a project, the process may vary from a consultation to full range of services. The full range includes five stages: STAGE 1: CONSULTATION The consultation determines a scope of work to be designed and sets the tone for design during which a clear vision of a client's requirements, style, budget and timeline are established. STAGE 2: DESIGN CONCEPT This is a schematic design phase which renders a project direction. It includes moodboards, photo collages and color compositions. STAGE 3: DESIGN DEVELOPMENT The design development phase includes space planning. The scope of it depends on a project. For example, in a restyling project planning defines demolition and construction of new walls. Electrical, plumbing, lighting, window & door systems may also come into play. STAGE 4: CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS This phase renders two complete sets of drawings provided to a client. The drawings fill in all the details and elements of design. STAGE 5: THE EXECUTION AND INSTALLATION This is the construction contract administration and supply phase which encompasses site visits, material testing, logistics of shipping, furniture installation and object placement.
