FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work for $400 for a minimum of 8-hours of actual work time per day, or $50 an hour. I take only one break a day for lunch, and that time is deducted. Any time spent on errands for things not related to the job is also deducted. Extra work is free if it's not too substantial. I want my customers to be happy!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally like to come out and look at the project, meet the customer and give a free-of-charge bid. If they want to hire me by the hour, they can ask me to start right then and there if they want.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I apprenticed with a friend for two years before starting my business with a partner in 1979. When he went on to college, I took over the company.
