One on one learning had been more effective for me than anything else I would try. I was able to ask any questions at any time. It felt great to study in the comfort of my own home with a great tutor, instead of having to leave my house for a class. I have learned so many tricks and information from truePrep. My tutors lessons gave me a ton of information on the many problems faced on the SAT. This definitely increased my success on the SAT. I went from a 1300 on a practice SAT to an 1800! The lessons that my tutor and I went over were very helpful for me. They first included sample questions, and tricks into solving a certain problem step-by-step. Then, they included example questions for me to solve. If I got any example ones wrong, my tutor and I would go over them. He always made sure I understood why I got the answer wrong. The step-by-step tricks I learned were the most helpful for me

I really liked that the truePrep used a system that accommodated to my weaknesses in taking the SAT. I took a diagnostic test at the beginning to determine my weakness, which was the writing section, and a few days later someone had already given me my report with a full report and the lessons I had to do to improve. I could see improvements immediately after my diagnostic report for my second test where my score in writing raised about 150 points or so. I really appreciated that face to face interaction for learning for the SAT and the fact that the program was flexible with both the lessons and the time tables Where a book may lack in being diverse for each student, my tutor was able to change my class for the next lesson to be essay orientated when I asked. Before I started the truePrep program I didnt know a lot of things about the SAT. Being an international student I felt I hadnt gotten as much prior learning in the SAT as the students in the US, which made this program very important for me. I learned many techniques and tips about the program which I found very useful in taking the test.

truePrep was a completely different experience from SAT tutoring I have ever experienced. Having that connection with Kate helped me remember some of the topics we talked about. Sometimes when there was a concept I could not get, Kate and I would make a joke or a personal connection to help me. I would never get that in a class filled with 19 other students. The material used in truePrep is also one of a kind. It breaks up math, reading and writing as do the classes but goes one-step deeper to break up the three sections even more. My scores showed great results while using truePrep, it exceeded my expectations. Kate was nice, sweet and very understanding. She helped me succeed in every way possible. Thanks Kate!
