As a homeowner for the past thirty years I have encountered, and single-handedly conquered, almost every issue a homeowner or apartment dweller may face. For the past nine years I have honed my handyman skills working as an independent contractor on another platform. In that capacity I have completed over nine hundred tasks with an overall satisfaction rating of 97%.
In addition to the above, I have over twenty five years of experience designing and building furniture of all kinds, including tables, chairs, and cabinets. See photos for a few examples of my work.
I enjoy working as a handyman because it gives me an opportunity to use skills that are so natural to me. In addition, meeting and having a chance to chat with a variety of interesting people is great fun!

Howard was excellent in his workmanship. He always asked for confirmation for the more complicated artwork hung. I’m going to use him for more projects around the house.
Howard was punctual, maintained social distancing and hung up all my paintings . Appreciate his flexibility as I had many unpacked boxes cluttering up all the rooms. He moved them , made space for his ladder and hung up the paintings . I highly recommend him .

I am very pleased with the work Howard did hanging a large painting in my home. He was prompt, professional, friendly and expedient. He was very flexible on timing, even coming out on a Sunday evening! I will call on him again.
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $65 an hour for handyman services, $68 an hour to mount art, mirrors, shelves, etc., $80 an hour for electrical work, and $55 an hour for furniture assembly, with a one hour minimum. I will mount your TV for $99. I accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
The price for custom woodworking is based on the cost of materials, time, and the complexity of your project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I read my customer's job description and then ask enough questions to fill in the missing pieces. If I am confident that I can complete the job to my customer's satisfaction, I accept the assignment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Thirty years of experience as a homeowner doing all of my own home repairs and maintenance. Over twenty-five years of experience as a woodworker and furniture designer. I have a Master's degree in psychology and great people skills!
