Introduction: Very individualized friendly coaching style that gets RESULTS with every student. Handle what needs to be handled but give only a quick review to confirm mastery of concepts in other areas. Build confidence at the pace acceptable to the student. I love seeing the light in their eyes or smile on their face or hearing the words of satisfaction when a student knows "I got it!" or that makes sense of "aha!" Genuinely, it's the JOY of helping another to succeed and gain their independence to continue on their own strengths. Currently services are on-line in a ZOOM format thus no in-person contact at this point. A phone conversation and agreed appointment time are required. We look forward to meeting in person when and IF possible. Until then, let's connect on my ZOOM. My expertise is MATH. Additionally I became a trainer to help others tutor Reading, Writing & Math up through 8th grade, so I cover those subjects well. I trained and supervised 10-20 Tutors each year for 10 years in California, helping hundreds of students get results each year. My biggest joy is empowering the student to know they can go on and learn whatever they want in their future. My rates are for a block of 10 hours delivered over weeks or months at your convenience, 1-3 hours per week. Working with children, I have had many background checks, all good. I am retired from engineering and 70 years old, dedicated to literacy and leadership.
