Two hours before my move I received a text message that they didn't have a crew for me and I needed to reschedule. I told them this was not an option. They finally found one mover for me.I had to have a friend help him.Things began moving along quickly, then a second mover finally showed up so my friend left. The move suddenly slowed down and it took them 3 hrs to pack up my 2 bedroom apartment. My limit time was 3hrs so now I was in O/T.The move was supposed to start at 12pm to 3pm, and instead was 4pm until 9pm.My discount they promised me was now a wash since they went over by 2hrs.Moving is already stressful and to then have your moving company tell you 2hrs before they are supposed to be there that they can't make it is unacceptable. It's also unacceptable that it took them a little over 5hrs to move me out of a 2 bedroom apartment.I do not recommend this company.

They 100% got over on us & completely took advantage of me & my elderly mother moving 45 minutes away from our old apartment....to begin with, they quoted us at $1300 less than we ended up paying. They do a zoom walk-through to "guage" how much time they think it should take with how many people, & with 2 movers they estimated 4.75 hours & a 20 ft truck, dump fee included. they also state more than once that it is a prorated hourly move, & that their time starts when they leave their office, ends when they return to that office, & that regardless of the amount of time with any traffic drive time in between locations, you pay real drive time. So despite having literally SHOWN THEM WHAT & HOW MUCH WE NEEDED TO MOVE, which was our entire 2 bedroom apartment, & despite this being what they do so one would assume they should be able to accurately guage an estimate, their estimate wasn't even close. Only once they had half of our lives loaded up in that Truck did they all of a sudden not have enough room & would have to make another trip. ANOTHER 45 MINUTE EACH WAY TRIP. so you can imagine how quickly that adds up. You mean to tell me that this is your livelihood & you can't reasonably estimate how much can fit in one truckload & in how much time? That's crazy. Unfortunately. we were not privy to the common racket that is moving companies, in that we had no idea this is how they get you. It wasn't until we started talking to people after the fact, that we learned many often had a similar experience with their respective moving companies. So 2 trips, 2 truckloads, & 14 HOURS LATER, after trying to make it seem like they were cutting us some huge deal by not charging overtime & taking off 2 hours of drive time, they literally said they wouldnt leave until the payment was made, & only cash or card as they conveniently didnt take checks....they literally waited for my mom to call her bank at 11pm to transfer the money from her savings to pay for the exorbitant amount more than they quoted us at originally. This was literally our 2nd time ever in life moving, & they knew that so they figured they landed an easy target. That's cool, I hope you sleep well at night living your life so shamefully. Lesson learned I guess.

Unfortunately, it seems that we fell short of meeting your expectations, and for that, we are truly sorry. In light of the inconvenience caused, our quote didn't exactly align with the actual time of the move. There were unforeseen circumstances that weren't originally accounted for. Unfortunately, when we arrived at your new home, the driveway was too steep to drive up, without our truck getting stuck in the driveway. Which caused the day to go longer indeed. 14 Hours of work is a very long day for everyone that day. For this reason, we did not charge you for the 4 hours of OT or the 2 hours of Double Over Time (keeping your rate the same all the way through the day). In addition, since we had to make two trips we waived your second drive time there and back. (Really a 16-Hour Day). We believe making things right and demonstrating our commitment to your satisfaction is important. We take your feedback seriously and are committed to addressing the issues you encountered to ensure they do not happen again in the future. Once again, please accept our sincerest apologies for your negative experience with our moving services. I recently had the misfortune of using Nice Guy Moving Company for my relocation, and the entire experience was nothing short of a disaster. From start to finish, the so-called "Nice Guy" movers demonstrated a level of incompetence and unprofessionalism that I have never encountered before.First and foremost, their initial estimate was grossly inaccurate. The final cost ended up being significantly higher than what was initially quoted, and I was left shocked and frustrated by the unexpected charges. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic, and I couldn't believe that a company claiming to be reputable would engage in such deceptive practices.The movers themselves were anything but "nice guys." They were careless with my belongings, showing a blatant disregard for the fragile items that I had specifically pointed out during the pre-move walkthrough. Several of my possessions arrived damaged, and when I tried to address the issue with the moving crew, they dismissed my concerns with an apathetic attitude.Communication was another major issue. It was nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone from the company when I needed updates or clarification on the process. Phone calls and emails went unanswered, leaving me feeling abandoned and anxious about the status of my move.To add insult to injury, the movers were not only late but also lacked any sense of urgency during the entire process. What was supposed to be a relatively straightforward move turned into a prolonged and exhausting ordeal. I felt like a mere inconvenience to the crew, rather than a paying customer deserving of basic courtesy and respect.In conclusion, my experience with Nice Guy Moving Company was a nightmare, and I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice. There are countless moving companies out there that prioritize professionalism, transparency, and customer satisfactionqualities that are sorely lacking in the operations of Nice Guy Moving Company.
