Professional, on time. John is tutoring my 10 year old son in math, specifically, common core math. John is very patient which is what my son needs. I try to help him but I lose my patience which frustrates both of us. I am glad John is able to help and I hope my son will improve his math skills. John has tutored Christopher twice only so I hope this review is helpful. So far, I would recommend John.

I must say I am extremely happy with the quality of service from Arbor Tutors from the first phone call through the tutoring sessions. We were given our choice between a couple of different tutors. High quality.

Aji has been tutoring our son in Algebra and Pre-Calculus for a few months now. He is really professional, he makes assignments and notes for every chapter which have really helped our son better understand the topics. He has also been helping with his homework and helping him prepare for tests. Our son's grades have improved significantly and he is a lot more confident about Math

Tim was a great teacher for me! He was easy to talk to,understood my questions, and helped me improve my weak points. After working with him for a few months, I was able to understand a lot of the material provided in the SAT test and improve a lot on my practice test. Overall, Tim is a great teacher for learning how to improve your English , especially to prepare for SAT test.

Josh was an awesome SAT tutor for my son, increasing his scores 110 points in just a few weeks of tutoring. Prior to Josh, my son was enrolled in a commercial SAT prep course: 3 hours on Friday evenings and six hours on Saturdays along with 11 other students. My son did not respond well to the group setting. These sessions could not hold his attention, and it became a weekly battle to get him to go. After a few weeks, he quit the course and decided that individual tutoring would be a better option. Josh’s style of personalized attention offered my son the back and forth interaction he needed to maintain interest and motivation. He had a great depth of knowledge (Yale graduate), as well as a warm and personal demeanor. He took the time to understand my son’s individual style of learning and identified the areas with which he needed more assistance. In summary, my son benefitted greatly from Josh’s talents, and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing one-on-one and personalized attention.

Angela does the best job of explaining concepts for AP/SAT if you are trying to learn something outside of school. We did our tutoring over the computer, but I actually found it more engaging than in person. For example, I was confused about cos (180degrees), because I hadn't learned about it in school yet. Angela's explanation also made 10x more sense than what my math teacher would say. Now I FINALLY understand how to find cos (180degrees)!

About

I am a business professional. I have over 10 years' extensive experience in the applications of several multiple subjects based on degree of difficulty (DOF) such as general math, pre-algebra, trigonometry, geometry, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, statistics and probability, pre-calculus and calculus. I have been a judge at the regional science fair competition in San Jose for the last two years and evaluated students in math and science projects. My success as a tutor has been attributed to my ability to patiently explain concepts in a direct and concise manner to maximize the comprehension and academic success of the student. An individualized lesson plan is formulated to address the student's needs. My student's age group for math is from elementary to 12th grade. For standardized tests like SAT/ACT math, I have helped a student raised SAT score to 130 points in one month. I offer guaranteed success. You will be way ahead of your classmates on your next grade in school. There are only limited registrations available. I wish you all the best. My hobbies include the following: I am a pilot. I enjoy reading, painting and singing. I have immense satisfaction when I strive hard to make a child succeed in his/her academics. I love tutoring. Math is my favorite subject.

About

My name is Cameron Anetsky. What sets me aside from other tutors is that my priority is the student, their family, and their needs. I tailor my tutoring to each and every student. My teaching has a basis in the Saxon Method of teaching, but it is more than that. I teach not only the subject matter, but the tips, note taking, organization, and study skills that make each student uniquely successful. I am well versed in teaching most subjects, with special emphasis on Reading and Writing, Social Studies, Foreign Language, Math, and Science. I effectively teach skills that can be used later in their academic and professional careers: reading for retention, note taking, analytical skills, scientific analysis, nursing and patient care, and writing.
