Introduction

Hi! My name is Oscar Barcelli, a professional drummer from Peru. I have been playing drums for 11 years. I graduate from Berklee and I have been awarded 3 times with a scholarship by The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation. In 2019 I had the honor to play at The Gala of The Latin GRAMMY with Sofia Carson, honoring the Latin Person of The Year Juanes, in Las Vegas. I have also worked with acclaimed musicians and GRAMMY winners such as Oscar Stagnaro, Claudio Ragazzi, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Kurt Elling, among others. I've been teaching for about 10 years in 3 different languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish) and all my students have learned more than they were expecting. My top priority is to have a fun lesson, teaching a great technique and sound in the drums and to be able to start playing songs very fast.

The price that I give is fair. I will teach you everything you need to know for every level. You will have the best experience playing drums.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to ask the costumer why they want to learn drums. After that I like to see them playing to see how they think drums works. After that I prepare a weekly plan to have goals every class.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied at Souza Lima in Sao Paulo Brazil (The best music school in South America). I also graduated from Berklee College of Music (Best music school in the world) with Magna Cum Lade honors.
