She was excellent in helping me purge garments from my wardrobe that don't work for me. I look forward to our upcoming shopping trip to rebuild my wardrobe with clothing that I will really enjoy!
Eric is a godsend. I've never worked with a stylist or a wardrobe consultant before, but man was it a good decision to try it. Eric is super easy to work with and very structured. His methodology is very thought through, efficient, and I never felt forced to spend more than I wanted to. The feeling of nailing down outfits that fits both your measurements and the style you're going for is empowering. I'll also admit that Eric has swayed me into trying new looks that I otherwise would not have touched, and its resulted in quite a few compliments from guys/girls alike. Part from knowing everything about mens style and fit, Eric is also a walking encyclopedia when it comes to the history of fashion and garments. Ask him anything he'll give yo a breakdown of the current trends, the reasoning behind it, and the history of how it came about. I did the initial 3 session consultation which was really fun and helpful, and these days I reach out Eric whenever I have a particular issue, or an event/trip coming up. The one thing I don't have is a lot of time to browse/shop/hunt, this is way much more efficient. You'll never wear poorly fitting clothes again, you'll never be confused what the 'rule' is for any garment/situation is again, you'll never be afraid to try a new look again, and be prepared to get random compliments from strangers, colleagues and friends. Have fun!
Emilie is nothing short of amazing. Her ability to seamlessly blend pragmatic fashion advice with her extensive background in the industry, and infuse it with a healthy dose of fun and charm, ensures an enjoyable and productive styling session with her clients. Emilie spent a full day with me, initially evaluating my current wardrobe and getting to know me and my personal style. This laid the foundation for the next step in her process, which was to take me on a shopping trip that proved to be both really fun and highly successful. Emilie is a real bargain hunter and was able to navigate every store like the pro that she is, and uncover some really good deals on clothes. I was ecstatic about our great finds and the purchases I made- and couldn't wait to get home and try out my fantastic new wardrobe! Thanks to Emilie's outstanding capacity to combine her fashion background with a talent for understanding each individual's own fashion vision and how to bring that vision to fruition, I can certainly say that I have a comprehensive wardrobe that is both stylish and very "me." Moreover, I feel exponentially more confident and self-assured that I did before my session with Emilie. Thanks, Emilie!!
I hate shopping for clothes; I would rather go to the dentist. So I contacted Shelley. Shelley and I went through my clothes last week, figured out what still worked and what I needed to buy. Shelley got my sizes, clothing preferences and we made a shopping list. Today we met at a department store where she had reserved a dressing room and had gathered a rack of items for me to try. These two steps made the process SO much easier, less stressful and almost enjoyable. Shelley’s affinity for fashion, ability to see right away what doesn’t work and why, and her focus on who I am/what I want to project plus her kindness; enabled me to create a whole new wardrobe. Working with Shelley was a wonderful experience!!
I went to Betina to upgrade my professional wardrobe. I wanted my clothes to reflect my goals. She helped me to see past my go-to favorites and guided me in dressing for the future that I wanted.
Working with Nicole was a dream. I would highly recommend her as a personal stylist and plan to work with her again soon. // A bit of backstory: I'm a 5'7" slender (size 2) woman in San Francisco in her late 20s. And shopping stresses me out - too many choices, not enough guidance, and I don't want to spend the time reading through Cosmopolitan, Elle etc to figure out what style works and what doesn't. Because of the above, I've worked with a personal stylist before when I lived in New York. I walked away with many nice and expensive 'classic' pieces from Bloomingdale's, none of which really fit my style and none of which I wear today. I look at that experience as a waste. I felt very nervous trying this again, but knew I needed to give it a go. My goal was to finally nail a capsule wardrobe so that I wouldn't have to think about each individual piece anymore -- without spending hours of my life on research -- so that I could just feel comfortable and confident in my look. // Working with Nicole Nicole is very down-to-earth and very approachable. In our first phone call, she asked about my goals, my body type, my favorite stores and more. She then put together a Pinterest board and sent it over to me. And here is the PERFECT example of why I'm SO glad I worked with a personal stylist in the first place... Because I looked at the Pinterest board and thought, "Oh, how dull... these pieces are so basic and too loose to accentuate my figure." But then my boyfriend (a visual designer) took a look and said, "Actually, the length of this top would accentuate your torso," and "The cropped length of these pants would make you look taller," and "The draped look makes you appear slimmer than a tight one" and so on and so forth, enlightening me to all the fundamental principles of style that Nicole had subtly understood and applied to fit my body, that I never would have picked out for myself. With that I was sold. // Once in the Mall I love the styles in Aritzia, but the last time I went to their two story store I spent three hours but walked out empty-handed and deeply frustrated. Nothing I had picked out actually worked on my body, and I felt at once helpless and somewhat pathetic at spending all that time, trying on all those pieces, and not being able to land at something that worked for my look. With Nicole, I tried Aritzia again. She had pulled out several pieces all waiting for me when I walked in -- and they all fit like a glove and were exactly what I was looking for: chic, comfortable, casual, yet polished and with a touch of class. I was so excited at finally having found the pieces that could be a base for my wardrobe that I insisted on going through the store again together, in case we had missed something that might work just as well; and found nothing. She had picked out exactly what worked for my body type, exactly what worked for my style, and I wish I had trusted her eye and thoroughness from the beginning! // In Sum If you're looking to nail your wardrobe once and for all, and not have to spend hours stressing about it, buying pieces that you ultimately return, and just love what you wear without thinking about it, then work with Nicole. Just do it. You won't regret it and you'll have hours of your life back and compliments (and confidence) galore. Thank you, Nicole, and look forward to working together again soon.
I saw great reviews from Gabby and figured she would be a reliable fashion designer who could work with both my need to find personally stylish looks that suited my frame, while adhering to a tight budget - Gabby did not come close to disappointing. Gabby was very responsive, friendly, and downright awesome from the get go and worked with my schedule and budget to ensure I got the best experience possible. I requested 4 simple things: 1. Learn how to better dress myself and find what's fashionable 2. Completely revamp my wardrobe with multi-versatile clothing that will last for years 3. Adhere to a tight budget 4. Have an amazing shopping experience Let's just say everything was checked off that list. Within 4 hours, we were able to put together a whole new look that has most definitely transformed the way I look and feel, gather a clothing set that is comfy, durable, and versatile, as well as secure my spot as that sexy new guy on the university campus. All seriousness aside though, Gabby is a compelling wardrobe consultant that deserved nothing less than a grandeur rating of outstanding.
My time is limited and spending hours scouring stores for “that dress” seemed a daunting and distasteful task. Jessica was not only helpful in identifying my style but was able to locate the perfect gown plus accessories that reflected my taste. It was perfect. Working with someone of Ms. Barr’s caliber is exactly what one wants in a professional stylist. I highly recommend her service, you will be delighted.
I was thrilled to work with Regi-Ne', always punctual, responsive and professional. She worked on my new dress attire and everyone is always giving me rave reviews on my new look. She Rocks!!!
Josie helped me tremendously in helping me update my wardrobe. She went through every item of clothing in my closet with me and helped me decide what was working for me and what wasn't. We went shopping together and she advised me re what new pieces would compliment and supplement what I already owned. I appreciated that she was aware of what was age appropriate for me, and what fit my own likes and lifestyle and budget. Josie is very creative. She has a great sense of humor and made the whole process fun. Working with Josie was a great experience and I would not hesitate to recommend her.
I was looking for a style that wasn't a closet filled with suits and dress shoes. Ianna helped me find outfits that fit the current tends and didnt make me feel over done or too stuffy.
A++ ~ Would totally hire again! Jessie is an amazing closet cleanser / fashion advisor! After a year of personal shopping she did for me through an online service I asked if I could get help with a closet cleanse / consult. She was a blast to hang with and go through my closet with, we were laughing the whole time while choosing tons of old clothes to get rid of that didn't really fit my life anymore and I came away with a much better sense of the stuff I was missing the whole time.
Reese helped me out with both my teenage girls. Reese met with the girls in our home. Reese came fully prepared with some ideas of what the girls would like. After our meeting the girls were sold on the idea of someone helping them out with their look. We set a date to meet in the city to SHOP!!! Needless to say they had a blast shopping and Reese was right there to help both of them. Fast forward a week the girls are taking Reese' advise to heart and are putting in into action with how they now are presenting themselves. I am very happy we found Reese and would highly recommend her services.

If you need an overhaul of your wardrobe or a few special, key pieces- Marcie Montgomery Styling is perfect for you. I am a stylist with a love for helping others feel their best. My pricing is reasonable, and I can create custom packages to accommodate your budget. I will join you in your home to help you sort through your clothes, weed through what is needed and not needed, and then shop with you to create the newly polished, confident you! Below are a few testimonials of my work: "Marcie is my dear peer who I have known for a decade. I have always admired her sense of design and style. Marcie keeps abreast of current cultural trends and is in tune with the lifestyles of both career women and mothers who work within the home. Marcie came to my rescue when I was 4 months pregnant, and I had no idea how to integrate maternity clothes into the work place. Marcie helped me select a new wardrobe that would take me through my entire pregnancy. We had a wonderful time shopping together. Marcie has a rare talent for helping people rediscover themselves. Marcie showed me how I could look, both professional and fashionable, while pregnant, which was not an easy task. Thank you, Marcie!" - Hollace B. "After being a stay-at-home mom for 9 years, the thought of trying to put together a new work wardrobe for my re-entry into the workforce (a conservative law firm environment) was overwhelming. What remained of my old work clothes was out of fashion, and I needed to be on a budget. I have never used a wardrobe consultant and was uncertain about the idea. But Marcie's help and advice ended up being invaluable, and I am so glad that I hired her. We started by meeting at my house to go through my clothes to figure out what might work. Marcie had a great eye for combining pieces I never would have thought of, and making a wish list of pieces that would work with what I already had (This also made the shopping process more streamlined because by that time, we had a definite idea of what we were looking for). Marcie also expertly noted which pieces needed to go bye-bye (I think when we have some pieces long enough, it's easy to lose perspective as to whether they are actually still cute, so I appreciated Marcie's input and feel so much better cleaning out the unworkable pieces). By the time Marcie left my house, she had lined up 5 outfits for my first week at work; I never would have come up with one and felt so relieved. Our second get-together was a shopping trip, which proved to be extremely productive and fun (Not stressful, as I was fearing!). Marcie is so fun and good at what she does, it felt like I was shopping with a friend, but also getting a lot done. By the end of that day, I went home with almost the full wish list done and a collection of mix-and-match pieces (pant suits, dresses, blouses, shoes, belts, and coats) that are perfect for my job. I've now been working for almost 2 months, and I cannot express how grateful I am each morning when choosing an outfit is easy and quick and I feel put together everyday. I would enthusiastically recommend Marcie's help whether for work or casual clothes. She has a great fashion sense and is a pleasure to work with!" - Suzy D. "Marcie Montgomery was an amazing help in recreating the new me after a major life change. I was approaching my 60th birthday, had recently ended a 35-year marriage, lost 25 pounds quite effortlessly, and was stepping into a whole new existence. Marcie had seen me through many days of change and this retail day was no exception to her caring and creativity. Nothing in my closet fit, defined me, or spoke of who I was now. In the usual way that we get on in life, a quick talk, a date made, budget checked, we were off to the retail playground with excitement and camaraderie. We chose new sizes, smaller, tailored a whole line with names and numbers that would fit in the future, if needed. Basics in seasonal colors that enjoyed compliments of scarves, sweaters, cosmetics and jewelry. We experimented with styles that were new, current and me. Styles that gave creative vision to a slender, active, new-age woman. More than picking and choosing the new fashion for me, Marcie taught me how to shop. She did it in a way that was celebratory and within my budget. How great was that? I got daily compliments at work and in life. I felt great. I realize now that her help allowed me to explore a part of my femininity that had never been actualized. Thank you, Marcie. Can we go again?" - Heidi S.
