FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During the first session I perform a fitness assessment along with a health and fitness questionaire. Fitness assessment includes blood pressure check, heart rate check, body measurements, take current weight check, body fat analysis. Also perform an overheard squat assessment to look for any muscular imbalances. Also do a variety of strength, core and balance checks.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to a Personal Training Institute which is a hands on specialty vocational school to become a personal trainer. Its a year long program that is 50% hands on in the gym practical where we learned proper form and how to work with a variety of types of people (ages, sex, injuries, goals, etc) The other 50% was in a class setting with text books, lecture, video, tests.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I became a personal trainer because of my own personal journey. I have lost over 170 pounds with choosing a healthy lifestyle of exercise and nutrition. I want to help and teach others that with commitment, consistency and patience...anything is possible.
