- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fee starts at $295 for weddings Mon-Fri, higher for Sat/Sun. A visit to my home or FaceTime/Skype consultation to "check me out" is free; you can decide afterwards about hiring me. If the couple chooses the optional premarital counseling, I have an separate fee for that which is $375.00. I can also provide sound equipment and music for smaller ceremonies like beach or backyard ceremonies, (but I'm not a DJ).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You receive my quote, review the attachments including the draft of your ceremony, then contact me by text/cell/email to let me know you're interested. We talk by phone/FaceTime, or preferably meet in person to discuss your particulars, and you can indicate if you want me to serve you. I'll revise the ceremony text per our discussion for you to approve. I require a 50% deposit by PayPal, credit card, Venmo, check or cash to formally reserve your day/time. I have conducted many mini-rehearsals in my home with just the couple as part of the consultation, at no extra charge. (Fee for off-site rehearsal applies). I arrive 60 minutes early to all ceremonies to refresh the couple's memory and make sure everyone else knows what to do. Final payment is due before the ceremony, when we will also sign the marriage license. Then we have a joyous ceremony, you have a party, and I go home and mail the marriage license for you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's degree and a Doctoral degree from an accredited seminary. Every year I attend the Wedding MBA Convention with thousands of other wedding professionals, and I also spend at least one full week of training through my denomination to remain on top of the ministry field to offer the highest level care to people within my reach.
