FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Everything you need from an officiant for your ceremony is included in the price. I talk with my clients, agree a service order and theme, write the ceremony, send the draft, make any edits / changes that are requested, help as I can along the way, show up for the ceremony and perform my role, and sign the paperwork when it is all said and done. I'm happy to help however I can.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is to get in touch with me. I’ll then try and meet you both in person or through video chat to hear more about you, your story, your plans and how you want the story of your wedding day told. You’ll get a feel for whether I’m the right individual, the ideal personality and the best officiant for your specific needs and vision. After that the booking is done online and is so very simple!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BSc in Management Science from the Manchester University in England and began my career as a Risk Management Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. I loved the company and the work - especially the constant interaction with people, but I had a vision for a different life and career. Five years after graduating I returned to college to get a teaching credential and then emigrated to the USA to earn my MA at Talbot School of Theology. Upon completion I began my new career as a bivocational pastor, teaching at a Title 1 school during the work day and leading a local church plant in Tustin, CA. I am a licensed minister in the state of California and the teaching pastor at The Crowded House.
