FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is mostly based on hours and number of musicians. The base rate is $300/musician for up to 2 hours. There are some instruments, like harp, that are a higher fee. Solo violin can be for shorter times and lower rates. There is a discount for booking solo violin more than 6 months in advance and also for marriage proposals, funerals and senior facilities.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We communicate mostly via email. I'm also happy to work via phone calls. It's usually not necessary to meet the musicians beforehand, especially if you are using a coordinator. I provide templates and lists of songs that can help you plan how your music can flow in a way that represents your tastes and work with you the whole way to make sure everything fits you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I provide continuing education training for other musicians at this point in my career. In addition to working with young professionals getting started in a music career, I am a regular presenter for the American String Teachers Association and have done teacher training at the Music Educators National Conference.
