Beginners learn to function and understand music from the standpoint of accuracy and dynamics as they develop an understanding of classical, jazz and pop from an harmonic and melodic perspective.
Students gradually learn to read, play and improvise their favorite Jazz, Pop and Blues tunes and/or learn classical music with a harmonic perspective as their theoretical knowledge deepens.
Classes range from very beginner to Bachelor Degree level instruction in Classical, Jazz and Pop Piano performance, Composition and Arranging.
For the first lesson, the student will receive a comprehensive evaluation of their musicianship, followed by an extensive recommended lesson plan.
Clifford Lamb is an internationally renowned Pianist with extensive record discography as a Jazz Composer-Pianist and recording artist.
His supporting cast features some of greatest players in jazz history, including Buster Williams, Cindy Santana Blackman, Nicholas Payton, and Grammy award winning Producer Jeffrey Weber.

Our 8-year old daughter has been taking pianolessons from Clifford and she really looks forward to her lessons. What we really liked was that Clifford took the effort to make a connection with our daughter, make the learning process fun while still challenging her. I like his approach of teaching the fundamentals without being too rigid so that she can develop her own style. I would definitely recommend Clifford.

Clifford has done a great job with our two beginner level kids! My 9 year old is really loving piano, has learned how to sight read and practices on his own. My 5 year old needs much more guidance but Clifford is thorough and tailors his approach to be appropriate for both. I would definitely recommend him if you are interested in starting your kids in piano.

Clifford is patient, tailors his teaching method to my abilities, is flexible with my schedule, and is passionate about his profession. As an adult, it's especially challenging for me to be taking beginner pianolessons, but quite fun. I've experienced quite a bit of progress under his tutelage over the last several months and am quite pleased.

I've been working with Clifford for 3 months now, so am in a good position to comment on the quality of his teaching. I am a recreational adult learner (much enthusiasm, not much skill.) Clifford has been able to help and encourage me in turning my interest into a more concrete and fulfilling aspect of my day-to-day life. His passion for music is clear, and he is a warm and patient instructor. Although, at the beginning we did have some hiccups re: scheduling, Clifford worked with me earnestly, and we have now settled into a routine. What I appreciate most with Clifford how he balances an obvious passion for music with a pragmatic approach in shaping my daily practice. While learning anything as an adult is always fraught with challenges, Clifford has become a trusted advisor and mentor in this journey. I would highly recommend Clifford to other adult piano learners looking to improve their piano skills.
