I’ve been looking forward to writing this review for days. If you’re searching for a reliable handyman, stop right here, Alik is the best you’ll find.

On Christmas Eve, during a heavy downpour, about six inches of rain, our neighbor came by to drop off mail (We were out of town) and noticed a leak in our kitchen ceiling. I quickly jumped on Thumbtack and reached out to several handymen and roofers, but no one was willing to come out in the storm. Then I found Alik.

Despite it being Christmas Eve, he stopped what he was doing and drove 45 minutes to help us. He climbed up on the roof in the pouring rain and did his best to seal the leak. A couple of days later, the leak returned, but since the rain had stopped, Alik came back and carefully re-sealed everything that could possibly be causing the problem. He wouldn’t even accept payment that time, saying he guarantees his work. How many handymen do that?

Two days later, we hired a roofer to come inspect the roof to make sure there were no issues else where, and he complimented Alik’s work, saying it looked completely professional. He gave our roof a clean bill of health. But three days after that, the leak came back again during another huge storm. Once more, Alik returned without hesitation or complaint fully determined to find the source. He opened up two sections of soggy drywall, about 2x3 feet each, discovered not one but two separate leaks, fixed them both, patched the drywall, and repainted the ceiling. Now it looks like nothing ever happened.

I almost hesitate to share this part because I’d hate for anyone to take advantage of Alik’s kindness. After everything he did, he only asked for an extra $200 to cover materials. Of course, we paid him much more, it was the least we could do. He poured so much effort and heart into his work, and the results speak for themselves.

If you want a handyman who’s honest, dependable, and takes real pride in what he does, Alik is the one to call. I can’t wait to recommend him to all my neighbors.

Alik is awesome! Although I made a last minute appointment, Alik made time in his busy schedule, kept in touch, and arrived on time. There were several jobs requiring varied skill sets, and Alik successfully complete them. His attention to detail is impeccable. He pointed out things I missed and went above and beyond by purchasing everything required to successfully complete the projects beyond my expectations. Did I mention quality workmanship at a reasonable price? In the past I’ve dealt with several handymen but they pale in comparison to Alik.
