DeJardin Piano

A Los Angeles native, Patrick DeJardin is an enthusiastic and versatile musician and educator dedicated to the arts, holding a BA In Piano Performance and Music History from the University of La Verne. Throughout his career, Patrick has been involved in a wide range of arts education and community-based programs, working with children, adults, and students with special needs and playing-related injuries. His experience includes creating community music programs through the Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation, designing workshops for adult amateur musicians, working with nonprofit arts organizations, and contributing to the music therapy program at the City of Hope National Medical Center. Patrick maintains a private teaching studio in Ventura, CA and is a piano faculty member at the Claremont Community School of Music, where he has been actively teaching since 2015. He also works as a luthier apprentice at Linda West Cellos, performs with the Vela String Duo, and contributes to the National Cello Institute. His students have gone on to study at institutions including The Colburn School, University of California, Los Angeles, University of Southern California, and Azusa Pacific University. Outside of teaching and performing, Patrick enjoys attending concerts, coffee, and is an avid distance runner.
