Dr. Batista is a wonderful teacher. Students love going to their piano lessons with her. It is rare to find a pianist so qualified and professional that also enjoys teaching.

Garrett is great! I used to play clarinet in elementary and middle school, so I was definitely a bit rusty. Now, 22, working full time, I wanted to pick it back up, and Garrett was very patient in helping me get reacclimated to the instrument. Not only, did I sound better than I did growing up, but Garrett made playing the clarinet fun and exciting. He's very flexible and will work with your schedule. You won't regret it, he's a great teacher!

My girls have taken voice and piano lessons at the Joe Ferrante Music Academy for over 6 years now. We have had nothing but positive experiences here. Management & the office staff are very accommodating and supportive w/ my girls ever changing schedules. And the instructors have been very knowledgable, patient, and supportive in helping them to succeed in their musical goals. I have recommended and will continue to recommend this music school to family and friends.

Tim is certainly an incredible musical talent. The Lord has gifted him not only to lead others in worship, but also to lead others into the full potential of their musical giftings. As a member of the worship team he leads at church, I can attest to Tim's love for Jesus, as well as his passion, commitment, and dedication in developing others. Everything Tim does is in excellence and to the glory of God. What a blessing to the Body of Christ! You will not be disappointed.

I am finishing my master's degree in music composition and multimedia. I have been playing sax, clarinet, flute, and keyboards and singing professionally for 25 years up and down the West Coast. Recently, I moved to Big Bear and wish to build my music career here.

Want to learn how to read music, understand theory and be able to play any style of music? I offer private bass lessons, one on one, so that you may grow as a musician. My goal for my students is that you should be able to read music and be able to do transcriptions. We have private studios to have lessons in. So if you are interested in playing music come on down. Music is waiting.

When I work with students, I figure out where they are in their music knowledge and abilities. I give them the necessary information that builds a foundation for the lessons. From there, I begin to push students and work on sight-reading, tone, music theory, etc. I also work on students with improvisation, if they are interested in pursuing jazz or other genres that include improvisation. With over 10 years experience on saxophone and jazz improvisation, I understand a lot of common issues that sax players face, and can help students to overcome these.

Greetings! My name is Albert Picon, and I am a private saxophone, flute, and piano teacher. I have my bachelor's of arts degree in music education from Cal Poly Pomona University. During my undergraduate studies in music, I received private instruction under the direction of classical saxophonist Lori R. Huff. Moreover, I also had the opportunity to study jazz improvisation with two well-known jazz saxophonists in the Los Angeles area, Tom Luer and Craig Durst. During my last year of college, I studied jazz theory with Javier Vergara, who is a former member of the Grammy award winning Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band. I provide music lessons to all individuals ages 5 and above at my residence. Whether you have played an instrument, or it's your first time learning an instrument, I provide additional support for your level, so that you can start making music at a fast pace. Every student is given different exercises according to their needs. All students are allowed to record each lesson using a recording device that they wish to utilize during each lesson. (Note: If students decide to use their device, it will help them practice daily and increase their level of performance.) You should already have a keyboard or piano, sax or flute by the first lesson because I will assign pieces and exercises for you to practice weekly. If you have had lessons before (group or private), please bring the most recent piece that you have played. This will enable me to see what you have worked on and where to begin a new lesson based on the ability of your performance. During each lesson, there is at least 2-3 new concepts introduced. Regardless of the student's level, every lesson will be conducted in this order: A) Warm up B) Technique exercises C) Play prepared repertoire (if student is ready to play songs) D) Apply techniques to repertoire E) Review previous lesson Aside from teaching privately, I'm also a freelance musician in the Los Angeles area. I have had the opportunity to play with local bands in the L.A. area, such as "Sangria", "Freddy G and the Smooth Response", and "Eastside Groove and the Goodies". I have shared the stage with local salsa and Latin jazz bands which were "Chino Espinoza y Los Duenos Del Son", "Octavio Figueroa y La Combinacion", "Orquesta Son Y Clave", "Orquesta Son Y Cache", "Mambo Lucky 7", "Angel Lebron y Su Sabor Latino", "Mambop Salsa Band", and "Frank Cano Latin Jazz Band". Currently, I'm conducting my own Latin jazz/salsa quintet called "Sabroson". If you are interested in receiving private lessons on sax, flute or piano, feel free to reach me at my cellphone number. I look forward to teaching you new musical concepts and techniques that will enable you to become a proficient musician.

Music lessons are taught as a language -- you learn to read, write and speak (perform). I listen to what your musical goals and objectives are and create a personal path in helping you achieve your musical objectives. It's fun and exciting. This is a whole new approach to where you are actually performing well-known standards and blues. I also teach a more classical style on clarinet (French method of clarinet playing).
