I hired John to power wash and white wash a filthy old patio. He did a great job and his price was fair as I didn't want to touch it. I have since hired him two more times. Once to level and epoxy the patio concrete floor and a third time to frame out a shower stall pre hot mop. He did a great job and I highly recommend him.
Jose came out to quote on time his price was competitive and he completed the job in a timely manner. I’d recommend Jose and will reach out when we’re doing our concrete decking this spring.
Steven did a great job installing shower safety bars in our home (for our elderly mother's visits). The job included finding a creative way to hang both bars in order to be fastened to the studs under the ceramic tile. He had to drill additional holes in the pre-drilled support piece in order to ensure they were hung with the required screws necessary to provide full support (had he not done this, some of the pre-drilled holes would have missed the stud). He completed the job timely and the end result looks great. Mike
John was a real treat to work with. He came in under budget on a very unique job (free-standing octagonal deck with stainless-steel railing lines). He was efficient with his time and left the area spotless. We greatly endorse John!!
Hired Contemporary Design Builders Inc. to repair roof, drywall and replace 5 windows and 3 doors. Very experienced crew and excellent work!
I had some miscellaneous outdoor work I contracted with this company including tree removal, demo and masonry wall repair/infill. Jason was punctual and professional. We communicated before the contract was carried out, during, and at close out. He was clear and upfront about cost issues. The cost was fairly priced as well as the add services. My advice as a client is to be clear and upfront if you have issues or questions. Most things can be resolved with your contractor if you keep communication lines open. You can always say no or ask them to fix the work if it is not the agreed upon expectations.
Wood Deck Repair-Stan completed the repairs and took his time to make sure that the deck and railings were level and secure.
We were really happy to have found Elder through a contact who had hired Micro Resorts for his outdoor space. We already had rough plans for our backyard space, but it was a complicated project involving drainage, concrete work, decking, a hot tub, fencing, and custom firepit, When we met Elder, we liked that Elder was very detail oriented in thinking through the project. It was clear he was really thinking ahead to make sure that all the aspects of the project would come together properly and we weren't overlooking anything. He even brought up how we should really address the lighting, something we weren't even thinking of, and I'm so glad that he did. It made a huge difference to the quality of the final result. Elder really enjoys building positive relationships. This was really helpful in working with the inspector. Elder was sure to address any of the inspectors concerns so that we didn't hit any glitches with the township. We also appreciated that Elder reached out to our neighbors before the start of the project to mitigate any concerns they might have related to the project. We did the project over the winter season, so it took a little longer than we expected because of so many days of rain, but Elder kept the project moving along and we're thrilled with the final result. As a result, we also hired Elder and his team to do our front yard. We honestly feel incredibly lucky every time we enjoy our spaces, and appreciate all the hard work that he and his team put into making this happen.
I hired Patrick and Scott Coggins Construction to build patio. They were professional, courteous, fairly priced, and cleaned up after themselves every day and were a pleasure to have in my home. They also over completed handyman projects and they were fairly priced with that as well. I highly recommend Coggins Contruction for any future projects. Their reviews and pictures are what drove to this decision and I'm glad I took it because, I will continue to use them in the future.
We have known Brendt for quiet some time and he has done various projects at our house, from building a deck to bathroom flooring roofing and some concrete work. We found Brendt to be hard working, honest, and most of all reliable and is an exceptional tradesman and we would recommend him to anyone.
The communication was perfect, the final project (a large one) came in exactly as quoted, and Carlos and his crew work FAST. The long version: I needed to gut the kitchen on a 2 story, 100 year old home which included removing 2 load bearing walls. It was extremely difficult to compare kitchen remodel quotes because the wall removal line items were all over the place or could not be determined by the various remodelers we met with. I decided to remove the walls before I got any additional remodel quotes. I found Skyline Framing on Craigslist, and then did my due diligence reading reviews and verifying they have a current license (for most projects I don't care about licensing, but you never want to take a chance with structural). I spoke to a few contractors, received a few quotes - Carlos thought of a few options the other contractors had not - but when comparing apples to apples he was charging 30% less than the next lowest quote, and because of his knowledge and professionalism I had no reservations about working with him. From the time I handed him the plans that were approved by the city, the entire job took 7 business days to complete (and keep in mind he had to go to the foundation and pour new concrete pads to support the new beams - and the job required 2 city inspections). These guys work FAST!
Ivan and his team are professional, hard working, and honest contractors. Every job we've used them for, whether plumbing, rough construction, masonry, drywall, finish carpentry, etc. has been completed to my satisfaction! Their prices are fair and their job completion is on time, what more could a customer ask for. Two thumbs up!
I though John communicated very well during our construction project. He was very flexible on any changes. Most contractors are very flaky; not showing up on time or wanting to get paid before the project is completed. You will not go wrong hiring John. He is top shelf.
Repaired a shelf and rod in our master closet that was not properly anchored with original installation with building contractor. Anchored 3 new bookshelves to the wall and replaced door knob face plates. He was very interesting to talk with, and although he arrived later than scheduled, he was able to complete what we asked.
We contracted Jeff and Rick after getting bids from 5 other companies. We mainly dealt with Jeff for the majority of the job. He is very professional and detail-oriented, which we appreciated. He sent us an estimate and we hired him soon after- but then he told us he made a mistake and needed to charge 15% more for labor costs. We negotiated what we thought was more reasonable and he agreed. After a few more weeks of delay, he told us that Rick underestimated another portion of the job and would have to charge more as well. By this point (5 weeks after officially telling them they were hired), we were anxious to get started so we again agreed to the change. They started a week later and were done in three weeks. The good news is that we're very happy with their craftsmanship- everything looks exactly like we wanted it to. We were just disappointed with all the changes and delays. We will consider them for future jobs as their price for this project was very reasonable compared to other contractors.
Gene McCormick did a great job on an earthquake retrofit and backyard deck for me. Looking forward to working more with Gene on other projects in the near future.
I needed an odd-sized interior door replaced and a front door repaired. Ron delivered exactly what a contractor should. He: 1) estimated at the work, 2) quoted a very competitive price for labor and materials, and 3) did excellent work on time and on budget. Ron will be the first place I look next time I need repairs made.
Andrew was our contractor for a major (at least, major for us), several-month landscaping project (tearing out old lawn and hedge; removing a concrete parking area and sidewalk; grading; installation of a 35-bush hedge; stucco work; putting in dozens of new plants; installation of new lawn, sprinkler system, and flagstone pavers; etc.). Andrew was pleasant, thorough, competent, flexible, and fair throughout the process. We would call on him immediately if we had another project to do.
We needed a drain at the end of the drive way to stop water from flooding in to our garage because our driveway slopes down to the house. There was also some stucco and wall damage that needed to be taken care of. We also needed a random window taken out and wood siding to be put up. AML Leon Construction did a wonderful job. All the employees were very nice and professional. Like all construction work on older houses once construction starts you usually run in to a situation of needing more work done then anticipated. But Leon Construction made us feel conformable and explained the reason for whatever else needed to be done they gave us other options for the extra fixes but in the long run we wanted to do things the best way. We trust the work that Leon Construction did on the house and we will certainly use them again for the rest of the work that we need to get done, we definitely would recommend Leon Construction to anyone who needs work done on there house. Thanks Leon Construction you guys are awesome.
Ron has done work for me for over 8 years and he has been reliable, honest and very good at his job. He worked as my general contractor on 2 new construction houses and a very complex remodel of my current home which we demolished to the slab and studs and rebuilt. He found me good sub contractors and made sure they did a good job. He also did alot of the carpentry, plumbing, drywall and roofing himself as well as a fabulous deck. He is experienced in all aspects of construction and understands building codes and how to work with City planning and permitting. Ron is one of the few builders I have found who truly stands behind his work long after the project is completed. He has also done small 'handyman' projects for me over the years. I highly recommend him and plan on using him on any future project, large or small, that I do.
We have worked with Doug Arnold, owner of Doug Arnold Construction, using his contractor skill and services on several occasions. He has installed doors for us, repaired the roof at our rental condo as well as removing the popcorn ceilings there and painting the interior for us. Two years ago, he was our contractor when we added three rooms onto our home, specifically a master bath, walk-in closet and a home office. The renovations were fairly extensive including designing a new roof to blend with the existing. When completed, the addition looked as though it had always been there. Most recently, we are having him build our patio cover which will have a metal roof when completed. The design will tie in well with the rest of the house. We have been pleased with his work, his work ethic, and knowledge of construction. His skill and abilities are extensive. We would be glad to recommend him and / or use his service again.
