- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
To provide a new customer with a price, we first gather zip codes and moving dates. Second, we gather an inventory list of all the household goods that need to be moved. Third, we need to know if there are any stairs on both ends, and if there is access for a semi-trailer at delivery. Once we gather this information, we can provide a "Binding Estimate". A Binding Estimate is a guaranteed price based on the details and inventory list provided. The most common way of gathering the inventory list is over the phone. Another way is by pictures through text sms (your moving consultant will provide you with their direct number).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked at UPS for a few years and received training and certificates for Loading trailers and proper handling of items. I worked for several moving companies as a loader, packer for furniture items, customer service and now as a moving consultant. I've helped thousands of families move out of state since 2008.
