- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $40-$55 per hour depending on whether you're a private individual or a business, and on whether you require my services during the week or on a weekend. I usually sell chunks of time (3, 6, 8 hr blocks) for a discounted rate. I also offer senior and military discounts, as well as gift certificates.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I call clients about a month later to see how they're doing with their spaces and if they're putting things away after use. Sometimes I come in and re-straighten up for them and cheer them on some more to keep up the good work!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been a tidy neat-freak. My friends have lovingly teased me for years. One of my best gal pals actually told me to quit working for her and open my own business as a Professional Organizer. The thought had never occurred to me. I didn't know people would pay me to organize them...I'd just done it for free for my friends for years!
