Introduction: Thanks for stopping by! My photographic journey started 9 years ago shooting with a film lomographic fisheye camera. From there the rest is history:) I like to pride myself on the work I create for others because I've met so many great people who have enjoyed their product. I specialize in weddings and engagements. Wedding photography is by far the most challenging and I try to use techniques that stand out from the crowd. I'm also very lucky to have an artistic eye which sets my work apart from my competitors:) Most of the time my wife Jo and I shoot as a team but occasionally I am on my own. I leave it up to the client to choose if they would like a second photographer. Shooting as a team provides a better perspective for the whole event where I can focus on lighting and composition and she can focus on candids. We are a great team and love working together and would be honored to document your special event! I enjoy wedding photography because it allows me to be creative on the fly and encompasses all aspects of photography. There is a sense of accomplishment when creating a product that people will look back on for the rest of their lives.

My wife and I would recommend Nate and Jo over and over again. They shot our engagement and wedding pictures and we couldn’t have been happier with how they turned out. From the ceremony to the reception and everything in between they managed to capture all the moments we can look back on 20 years from now and still cherish. Nate and Jo are incredibly talented and have the ability to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera allowing for genuine smiles and true emotion to come through in each shot. I was incredibly impressed with Nate's commitment to capturing the essence of my wedding day as well as a focus on telling a story through pictures. All of our interactions were professional and he showed genuine interest in understanding my particular desires for the pictures. I am overjoyed with the final product. He was able to capture every moment in a creative and beautiful way. My friend and I had similar weddings and both used Nate as a wedding photographers, but Nate was able to capture the individuality of each event. I'd recommend him for any event!

We could not have been happier with the results of Nate & Jo's photography for our wedding. They captured all of the events that we had hoped for as well as some other events that we didn't even know had occurred. It seemed like they were easily able to figure out what is important to us, and adjust to get the picture that they knew we'd be happy with. Very professional and personable, my wife and I highly recommend their services. I don't have any feedback about what could have been better, they are photo-ninjas, taking pictures when you least expect them to be.

A great value for the quality! My pricing is fair and competitive.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start with a phone conversation and then an in person meeting. It's important to get to know my customer before the shoot that way I can get a good baseline for my interaction while shooting and learn about their background. It's also important to set expectations and make sure the clients needs are met.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My formal education is environmental science from the University of Colorado in Boulder. I used photography to monitor invasive species while my full time day job is photo editing. Most of my photography experience has been self taught.
