Having 25 years of experience playing piano and 15 years of private teaching, I enjoy working with students of all ages, levels and backgrounds. With the right encouragement and my down-to-earth teaching style, I'm positive you will progress with piano quicker than you realize! I work with your pace, and am always fully open to addressing your needs, questions and concerns at the piano. I focus mainly on classical repertoire; however, if you have a pop song you would like to learn, I will be more than happy to help you learn it. It's important that a student likes the repertoire he or she is playing. Lessons should be fun and enjoyable. Hanna's Piano Studio is located in Boulder, CO offering ONLINE lessons through ZOOM, FaceTime, Fortelessons.

Ms. Hanna is a wonderful and talented piano teacher we feel so lucky to have found her. After trying several different schools both here in Boulder and online, we finally found someone who truly clicked with our son. He went from begrudgingly playing to actively seeking out new music and practicing on his own just so he can show Ms. Hanna how much he's learned between lessons. It's been a complete 180.Beyond her skill as a teacher, Ms. Hanna has a special way with kids easygoing, encouraging, and incredibly motivating. Our son looks forward to his weekly lessons with her, so much so that he even asked to extend them to a full hour! Hes never been this excited about any extracurricular activity. Ms. Hanna has truly ignited a love for music in him, and we couldn't be more grateful.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During our first lesson, it is a chance for me to assess where you are at in your musical studies. If total beginner, we go over hand warm-ups, beginner music, note reading. For students with some experience, I have them prepare a piece or two. I also like to get to know who I am working with and see if we are good fit!

Bachelor of Music- Piano Performance San Francisco State University Master of Music- Piano Performance California State University-Fullerton
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started teaching when I was in community college and never looked back! I enjoy working with other students and helping them grow as musicians, at the same time enjoying the process of learning and working through challenges.
