Introduction: I am so grateful that you have taken the time to see if I am the right artist to help you document your life! Choosing an artist to document your story is an intimate process, and I take a contemplative approach to help my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. I seek to evoke authentic portraits with an editorial flare for clients who are adventurous, playful, and sentimental. Photography doesn't need to be a serious endeavor, it should be filled with light, fun, and laughter! I am a destination wedding photographer in Colorado and I am available to travel world wide.
I love being a part of a couples happiest day! Each couple's celebration of love in as unique as their love for each other, and I enjoy helping them document their celebration for years to come. I enjoying getting to know my clients, and helping their wedding day vision come to life!

Kayla is by far the best photographer I have ever worked with, I would hire her again in a heart beat and pay double. We did not think we would be able to have a photographer at our wedding because of the small size and the last minute planning, however with less than 3 weeks notice Kayla was able to come and be our official photographer. She arrived early and was perfectly calm and organized even though the family cabin was crazy with preparation details and pandemonium. She made everyone so comfortable and relaxed that taking the family photos was enjoyable. When people ask me what was my favorite thing about the wedding I have been saying it was the hour that my Groom and I were out taking photos, just the 3 of us. Andrew and I felt that we made an instant friend that day, and even invited Kayla and her family to join us for food and drinks at the reception. Not only was she like family, but her photographs are stunning. From someone who expected not to have any photos of her wedding, seeing the artistic beauty of her work felt like a dream come true. She will adapt her style to match your taste, work with your own creativity and ideas, instantly befriend you and help you to feel comfortable, and the quality of her work is outstanding. You can not possibly make a better choice than to have Kayla take your photos.

Kayla did an amazing job on my boyfriend and I's photo shoot! She made us feel comfortable taking the pictures, and made us laugh which made us look very natural in all of our pictures. We absolutely loved every single shot, and had a great time taking them with her. She also found a really unique place to take the pictures which made the backdrop breathtaking! Highly recommend working with her, and can't wait to have her take photos for us again!

Kayla contacted us quickly to book our wedding and kept in contact with us for a couple months. We discussed wedding dates, wedding times, colors etc. She seemed really nice, and we were excited about her shooting for us. She confirmed through Thumbtack that she was booked for our event, and also confirmed this several times to us. I am from out of town, and was in Colorado for a week. We tried to meet with her during this time to sign a contract, but she had family in town and our schedules didn't match up. She sent an invoice through paypal, but we told her we would like to sign a contract before sending a $350 deposit. A couple weeks later, we touched base with her again. My fiancé was going to meet her to sign the contract and we told her that the deposit would follow immediately. She said this was fine. At the last minute, she could not meet my fiancé, and said that she would reschedule to meet with him and set up the payment. The very next morning, she texted to say that she had booked another event on our date, and she could no longer shoot our wedding. When my fiancé asked what happened, she said it was first come first serve, and the other couple signed a contract electronically, an option we were never offered!! (Since I live in California, and my fiancé does not live near her either, this option would have been nice!) We now have no photographer, and our wedding is in just three months. After multiple conversations and confirmations from her, this is unacceptable!

Dear Brandon,
I am sorry to hear that you are disappointed with me passing on shooting your wedding, but your review was written out of emotion and not facts. The facts are after our initial contact and phone calls, I thought you had decided to go with me. I never indicated that I had been hired, as you had not given me a retainer or sign the contract. I did send these to you electronically. Once they were received by you, your bride sent me a very rude text saying that you were unwilling to pay the full amount 1 month before the wedding (standard for all wedding photographer contracts) and you didn't want to sign the contract. I understand that contacts can be scary, so I offered to meet in person knowing you only live an hour from me (FT Collins).You cancelled our meeting, and I didn't get a response from you or your bride for over a month. I sent 5 emails, and countless texts, and figured you had gone with another photographer. I did email you to let you know that I had another inquiry for your wedding date, and gave you three days to respond. I did not get a response till day 4 when you called me at 12pm asking if we could meet and telling me that you were in the area. Unfortunately I was on a job, and could not get away. I told you that I planned to meet with a couple that evening, and I received the retainer and deposit before we could meet. I was hoping to meet with you a month ago, but you choose to leave it to the last minute, and unfortunately someone else booked me. I even offered to Skype with your bride to go over the contract and details of your wedding. I did every thing in my power to book you. I do wish you the best on your wedding day, and please let me know if you need any referrals for wedding photographers! I'd love to send someone your way!

Kayla is very passionate about her profession, and is a real pleasure to work with. Both of these things are reflected in the quality of her photographs, which is why I wanted her to be our photographer in the first place. She is thorough and took note of our special requests. She had wonderful ideas for some details of the wedding which we weren't sure about, and she has a great sense of adventure and fun. She truly went "above and beyond" for our engagement shoot on Mt. Sanitas. Our engagement photos, and the beautiful album she created for us, were outstanding. The album doubled as a guest book for our wedding, and our guests loved it. We haven't seen our wedding photos yet, since my husband and I just got married on Saturday, and are currently on our honeymoon in Hawaii. Our wedding was a truly magical day for both of us, and we have no doubt that Kayla captured the essence of it for us. My husband has mentioned multiple times how excited he is to get to re-live the pleasure of the day when we see our photographs. We'd hire her again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Kayla.
