Amazing job removing all our popcorn ceilings - some rooms up to 25’ high and a staircase in a very uncomfortable position! Mega job taping everything, putting plastic everywhere, removing popcorn and then even painting it. Would recommend 10/10 and use again every time.

No doubt popcorn ceiling removal is very messy but Luis Reyes and his teammate Leo made the experience positive. They were respectful of my home by ensuring everything was carefully covered. Each evening, they removed the residue. Their work is exceptional. All ceilings look smooth and are perfectly painted. They work in a professional manner and tirelessly. The work they provided was more than a good value. I feel very fortunate to have found Reyes Drywall through Thumbtack.

DGD Drywall did a great job removing the popcorn ceiling in my dining area, repairing drywall, and texturing and painting the kitchen and dining area. Communication was clear, they finished on time, and even when a ceiling patch didn’t hold overnight, they went above and beyond to fix it properly. The end result looks great, and I’m really happy with their work. I’d definitely recommend them.

Our crew was awesome! Friendly & worked so hard removing our popcorn ceilings which had been painted over... Absolute bear of a project. We could not be happier with the results! Texture & paint are great. They worked within our timeframe & cleaned up well and were flexible with our needs. It was also important to them that we were very happy before we paid once completed. Highly recommend this company.

We had asked him to come to our home while we were out of town for a week. We trusted him in our home and gave him our key. He was great to work with and our project turned out great. We had them sand and repaint our cabinets and paint a newly installed railing. We look forward to having him back to complete the painting and removal of our popcorn ceiling. A true professional!

These guys were the best. They were so quick to respond to every text. Excellent communication. They did an amazing job on removing our popcorn ceilings. It was a big job and they did not disappoint. Very clean and fast. We asked if they could do a couple of odd jobs as well and they did once again fantastic. They are very handy! I would absolutely recommend them. Very reasonably priced which was an added bonus. Thank you guys so much for making our home beautiful!

Was told 4 days to complete our project. It took almost 2 weeks. They damaged multiple areas and broke a fan. Left for hours for "lunch". They had to have a second crew come in to fix the paint job because the initial job was horrible. Very sloppy.
Edgar did his best to satisfy us, but when you have incompetent labor, there isn't much you can do.
We have more popcorn ceiling to remove, but we won't be using Drywall Aesthetics.

We would highly recommend the Archuleta Drywall! They did an amazing job for us removing popcorn ceiling from our vaulted ceiling, main room and (3) bedrooms. They also painted the main living room and entry way.

They finished early than expected, were more than fair in pricing and very professional. They also did extra work on our ceiling to ensure it lived up to their standards.

Thank you so much, we love it and are so happy we hired the perfect company for the job!!

The "Impossible" Made Possible: Black 4.0 & Level 5 finish perfection

Let me preface with I got multiple bids for this project. I went with Sammie's Archuleta Drywall and Popcorn business based on reviews and photos of his work online.

And I'd do it again.

I challenged Sammy and Archuleta Drywall with a project known to be 'impossible' in the artist and interior design world:
Full popcorn removal and prep for Stuart Semple’s 'Black 4.0' (the world's blackest paint) across 16-foot vaulted ceilings, 2 sets of double hung windows, skylight, and a custom theater.

This unique 'void' paint absorbs 99% of light, meaning the drywall prep had to be physically perfect—there is zero room for error. Sammy and his team have this down to a science. They utilized heavy machinery and stilts to buff the surfaces to a flawless, glass-like standard (a true Level 5 Finish) that holds up even under the unforgiving glare of my skylights.

Sammy, family and business work ethic is unmatched. He maximized efficiency by rotating to other sites while my high-build mud cured, even returning the same day to keep my timeline moving. They spent 5+ days sanding and buffing my vaulted ceilings throughout. Who else is going to do that for you?

Whether you have a routine repair or a 'pushing-the-limits' luxury project, Archuleta Drywall is the only team I trust. They didn't just prep a ceiling; they created a masterpiece.

I'll post photos when my other house projects are done.

ZH RESTORATION & RECONSTRUCTION
ZH RESTORATION & RECONSTRUCTION
I had a fantastic experience working with ZH Restoration & Reconstruction. From the very beginning, Zach was quick to respond to my inquiry and provided a timely, fair estimate for the work I needed. He kept every appointment as scheduled, and the entire project was completed right on time.

In the bedroom, they removed the old popcorn ceiling, applied a fresh texture, and painted it beautifully. The walls were also painted, giving the room a clean, updated look. In the dining room, they repaired water-damaged drywall, retextured, and repainted it seamlessly—you’d never know there had been any damage.

Throughout the process, the team kept the workspace clean and showed great attention to detail. The workmanship was top-notch, and every person who worked on the project was professional and respectful. Zach and his wife are polite, responsive, and clearly takes pride in their business and the quality of their work.

The end result was exactly what I needed. I highly recommend ZH Restoration & Reconstruction for anyone looking for reliable, high-quality home restoration work.

We hired Carlos to do popcorn removal and retexture on our first floor, second floor hallway, and master bedroom. Pros: He was professional and did a pretty good job. His quote was pretty average compared to the other ones we received. Affordable for sure. He thoroughly cleaned up afterwards, which we really appreciated.

Cons/what can be better: Communication could have been better. He disclosed the timeline to us and unfortunately it took a few extra days than expected. The biggest issue was realized afterwards. We hired painters to paint the walls and the ceiling paint came off when the painters tape was removed so we had to dish out extra $$$ to get the ceilings repainted. I did reach out to find out what ceiling paint was used. He did offer to drop some off since we weren’t left with any after the job. He didn’t drop it off or ever respond again. We understood life happens but the lack of communication really leaves a sour taste because we tried to be good customers. We even tried to reach out about another job but never heard back so we had to hire another drywall contractor. All in all we are disappointed because we were hoping to establish a long standing relationship so we have a go to contractor for all things drywall so I’d say it depends on what you’re looking for. It was a good one-time hire.
