After losing close to 150 lbs. over 18 months with Weight Watchers, I started training with Dana at the beginning of October 2015. I had lost the weight but had done no strength training prior to that point. Dana asked the right questions and immediately got me working on strengthening my core and building muscle mass that I had never really had before. With the massive weight loss, I had to relearn movement, balance and more. Dana has tailored my training plan to accomplish this successfully. She educated me on proper nutrition with specific instructions on protein and carbohydrate intake in conjunction with Weight Watchers. The difference I have seen since that time has been fantastic. Working with Dana Ive seen my body weight continue to drop while my lean muscle mass has increased. Im seeing the toning and definition that I hoped for. My massage therapist has commented on the difference shes seen in my muscle tone and the strengthening of various muscle groups due to the workout program Dana laid out for me. I know this difference is because of the guidance and encouragement from Dana over this time. Im also a runner, having completed two Half Marathons since December 2015. With the core and endurance training Dana has put me through, Ive cut over 3 minutes per mile off of my running pace in the last 3 months. Her style is direct and honest, which I appreciate. She doesnt pull her punches and doesnt sugar coat things. That makes a world of difference when your focus is actually seeing noticeable results. At the same time, shes been extremely supportive and encouraging since day 1. I know that the progress Ive made physically and in my self-confidence are directly related to the instruction, guidance and support Dana has given me. If you want results from a trainer that knows how to achieve definable and measureable goals, you need to work with Dana and give her 100% of your effort. You will see results. You will feel better and stronger. I'm happy to provide this review based on all the changes I've seen working with Dana.
Ryan is awesome! I'm so glad I started working with him. In just 3 sessions I've learned so much- he pushes me without over doing it. He is attentive, knowledgeable, and super approachable. His overall education, experience, and professional demeanor make him extremely well rounded as a fitness professional. His workouts are both challenging and fun. Training in Dr. Jaffri's class has been a life changing experience. I was taught the moves needed to get out of any situation. More importantly I was taught to think and react on my feet, I feel this is how he as a trainer takes his program deeper then others I've experienced. You never know what an attacker will do so he goes through every possible situation and instilled in you how to react. This is much more powerful then just teaching the "moves". As a rape and abuse survivor I finally have the confidence to walk the streeets without PTSD episodes. I highly recommend his self defense program.
Worked with Kim for several months. Kick boxing,MMA, core and strength! I loved the training and work he put in. He was engaged in my fitness level,pushed me to perform better and showed me the technique I lacked to keep myself injury free. He also worked with my 8 yr old grandson doing some MMA and he was awesome! His confidence and self esteem had greatly improved.
Been training with Dave for about 3 years. Through that time I have had increase of confidence, more power with striking and kicking, and even more of a tactical mind when it comes to sparing. Dave treats and speaks to me as an adult, and always willing to help me improve in areas of weakness both felt and observed. Never is a lesson nor the time wasted.

As a trainer in the fitness industry I hold a high standard for any Fitness professional that I would hire personally. Brett Hart is an expert in his field and truly gives his all to his clientele. He knows how to vary the intensity to match the efforts of a first-timer or a seasoned athlete. He is personable, well-organized, flexible in his scheduling and inspirational in his approach. I would highly recommend Brett for one-on-one, small group or large group kickboxing conditioning, martial arts and self defense training.
I have been training with Barry for a number years now. The training has been nothing but top notch. He has a way of finding out who you are physically and mentally,so that he can provide you with the training and tools needed for you as a person to understand efficiently. Training is never an easy task,because you are pushing your self to that limit,but Barry makes it fun and exciting.I always leave my sessions with something to think about ,and something new to add to my life. When I started with Barry ,I wanted to learn how to fight ,which is fine.I think everyone needs to be able to handle themselves in bad circumstance.In the years I've been with him though, he has helped me with more then just learning how to fight. I am healthier,more aware of my surroundings and my body.This is a rare kind of training,in my opinion.The bottom line is, he will do what it takes to get you on the right track,and teach you things that you would never expect. It's awesome and I recommend Barry to anyone looking to start learning or expanding their martial art.
I have been training with Ben Skee on Krav Maga for about 2 months. I am thoroughly impressed by his dedication, professionalism, patience, and knowledge of this art. I have started to develop a mindset of training and awareness, as well as valuable fighting and self-defense skills that I hope to never use but am extremely grateful he taught me. The way Ben explains and demonstrates the moves makes them easy to grasp. Strikes, grabs, chokes, kicks, throws, stance, mindset, technique, and so much more are part of his curriculum. He pushes his students to make them realize what they're capable of. Thank you Ben, for your patience and dedication in helping me develop myself in this amazing way!
I have been going to Rocky Mountain Self Defense and Fitness since 2009. John is an excellent teacher. He always makes class fun and challenging at the same time. His knowledge of Krav Maga is very extensive. Its very difficult to find a Krav Maga instructor who is a 2nd Degree black belt. I have studied several methods of Martial Arts and even have a black belt in one of them but have not felt confident about defending myself until I joined Rocky Mountain Self Defense and Fitness and learned Krav Maga. I highly recommend it especially for women.
Cks is an amazing school full of wonderful people. They teach very practical self-defense applications as well as intangibles such as meditation and work with students in groups and one on one. Any and all are welcome to join regardless of age, gender or disability. I have been going to Cks Movement Masters for over 2 years now and my younger sister has been going for about year. We are both very satisfied with our experience at Cks and would highly recommend them to everyone who is looking to better themselves and have a great time doing it.
