John C. did our home inspection on November 10, 2014. We are a military family that is new to the area, so we did some price shopping and asking around before we made a decision on a home inspector. I received a quote from C&S from the website Thumbtack -- it was a little bit less expensive than others, but the deciding factor was their credientals and references. John had flexible availability and was able to set our inspection for just a few days later, as requested. He was punctual (actually arrived early), professional, extremely knowledgeable and most importantly -- thorough. He answered all of our questions (and I ask a lot of questions), and even offered advice when we picked his brain about remodeling ideas. He spent over 2.5 hours going over every detail, inside and out. I would HIGHLY recommend John and C&S to ANYONE. He will provide a detailed, thorough inspection report (including lots of pictures) in a timely manner, and will gladly answer all of your questions afterward. You don't need to look anywhere else for home inspection services -- C&S is the way to go!

I contacted John with C&S Home Inspections after a friend from work suggested using him. HE IS FANTASTIC! I am in the process of buying a house and needed to have the house inspected, John was able to come out and look at the house right away and was very flexible to accommodate my work schedule. John did a great job going through the house and not missing any details, he was very efficient and wonderful to work with. He tested and checked everything from the wax rings on the toilets to testing each outlet to make sure they were conducting electricity, he opened and closed every window and door to make sure they were working correctly. He discussed with me everything that he noticed as we went through the house to help me understand if there was an immediate issue or if it was something that i should have fixed in the future (because it was a personal preference not against code or unsafe) he did a great job answering every question i had from the small things like the lower level screen door sticking and even went out of his way to do a water test for me that he does not usually do! the inspection report that he submitted after the inspection was incredible! there were pictures, references, details - he went above and beyond! i would recommend him to everyone for their inspection needs!

John was so wonderful! He was quick to get me scheduled and took the time to walk me through everything he had found in my inspection. He went above and beyond and even went back at the owner's request to verify the water heater was working! I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a home inspection.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    In order to give an accurate quote on the price of doing a home inspection I will need the following information: 1.Total Square Footage of the home? 2. Year built? 3. Location? I do not need the exact address but would need the City/Town name.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    ASHI requires that all members do continuing education throughout the year.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Colorado is a Non-licensed state for home inspectors (Anyone can say they are a home inspector) so be sure that whoever you use belongs to a national organization. I belong to The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). ASHI is the oldest national organization and by many standards, the most trusted.
