About
Available for pet care should you be hospitalized during COVID-19. Personal service and Peace of Mind! Bonded and insured, I send photos and videos of your pets so you can actually see they are happy and doing well. I do some house sitting services, such as lights, watering plants, mail, packages and trash. I have cleared the snow to make it seem you are home. I do medications for senior and injured pets. I use texting, Facebook Messenger, and email. I can do a password protected page to give you updates.
I am available only in El Paso County, CO. Thumbtack keeps changing my distance settings. I apologize if this has happened to you.
Happy pets! I check each pet and will stop and play or talk to them when you are gone. Snuggle them when extra TLC is needed. These personal human touches can make your pet very happy. Better yet, they are happy when you come home, too. My clients travel around the world and we keep in touch. You can see my most recent pets and comments on my Facebook page.
I have clients since 2011. Some pet clients have moved and others have lost their pets to pet heaven. One client is a local police detective, another is an attorney, and another is a retired Navy nurse. One client cried to see their pet doing okay when they were worried and had to leave. My clients are loyal because of the quality of care, reliability, integrity, and flexibility. I have an independent contractor to help in peak seasons so your pets' care is always assured. You meet my independent contractor before any work is performed.

We hired Kit for pet sitting and we are so happy with the way she treats our pets. We have 2 cats, a lizard and a dog, and right away I could tell she was the right fit for our animals. She walks our dog and I love the picture updates!

I am very happy with the care my cats and dog received. Kit gave all the meds and supplements that my special needs cats needed and even helped set up for a vet tech to come and give one of my cats the medicine that she needs.
Aunt Kit Pet Nanny's reply
Can you say silly and fun! Each cat has such a personality and our pooch is a delightful pup! I was truly happy I had a vet tech friend to help, too. Saved on stress for kitty, traveling to the vet, paying for the vet, and just all around a much better solution to have the vet tech visit. I LOVE win-win situations AND I love your babies!

Aunt Kit is awesome. She is professional, punctual, and loves animals. I feel very comfortable having her in my home while I am away, and She provides photo updates daily of my kitten.
Details: Cat • 1 pet • Giving food and water • Changing litter or bedding • Short visit (30 minutes) • Once a day • My home, venue, etc.

Aunt Kit was so wonderful with all of our animals. She sent us text updates during each visit. I could see that our fur babies were in good hands. Would definitely recommend her!! :)

The job was the care and feeding of our 3 cats. I also requested watering the outdoor plants and bringing in the mail. Everything was done very well. I feel that Kit went above and beyond leaving our home in perfect order and not only texting me every single day, but sending pictures too!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My visit price is $18. If you have 5 pets and need two visits, the total cost will be $36. My rates cover my insurance, gas, and some of my travel time. Three visits per day is very difficult and affects the visit schedule of my other pet sits. Sometimes I have to make a long diversion between other visits to make certain to make your visit. That is why I charge a much higher rate for 3 visits per day.
I require pre-payment so I know that I really do have a pet sit appointment and not just a reservation. I take local checks, cash and PayPal.
I do overnights at $55 per night and can visit during the day, too for $18 per daytime visit.
If you have delays as with bad weather, we can work out the details of additional pet visits after you return. My rates remain the same if you do have a delay.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, let's find a date for our first free visit. I come to you and I meet you and your pets. I take notes about food, medicines, water, play activities, who is your vet, shot and health information and anything else you feel is important. I want to mimic as much of your activities as I can for your confidence and your pets' comfort. If you're satisfied with the fit and how your pets react, then we can set the schedule and payment dates. Finally, a key or garage door codes are shared.
If you can, let me know when you leave on your trip by texting or emailing me. I will reply to confirm we're in touch. You're welcome to leave me notes. I will next contact you on the first visit. I'll send photos and a short update and we stay in touch throughout your trip.
Sometimes my video are long, or you may have data limits. I suggest we connect on Facebook Messenger. It works no matter where you are! I have clients visiting Europe and Asia and we stay in touch using Messenger. I can email too, but sometimes file sizes limit what I can share.
Okay! That's it! Very easy!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, that is why I am a member of Pet Sitters International (PSI) and Pet Sitters Association. They offer professional advice, resources, and training that helps me be a better pet sitter.
