Introduction: After over a decade of developing my craft on the side, I am all-in as a professional photographer and filmmaker. Now I get to spend more time with a camera in hand and I love it!
After the past year of doing this full time, it is clear that the thing that sets me apart is my ability to capture high-end footage and images in challenging conditions for a long time. This is due in part to my own mountain climbing and ultramarathon running experience. Whether I'm filming a 17,000-acre ranch from sunrise to sunset for multiple days, or covering 18 miles carrying a professional camera/lens/gimbal setup during a 100-mile/30-hour ultramarathon, I pride myself in being able to be at the best places at the best times with the best gear possible.
When working with people, ensuring they are genuinely happy and comfortable is my main focus - from there, the best results come naturally. I personally value being adaptable to work with many variables, and having a deeper understanding of the "why" of my craft instead of just the "how". I love when people come to me with new and interesting ideas - so tell me what you're thinking and let's try it!
My tools/services:
+ Sony A7RIII and A7III cameras with G-Master zoom lenses and Zeiss prime lenses. I only shoot in manual and raw. You will get professional-level image quality at 42MP for photos and 4K or 5x slow-motion at 1080p for videos.
+ Gimbal to get smooth motion video.
+ Portable studio lighting for both photography and videography.
+ Redundant high-quality audio recording to ensure critical dialogue will not get lost.
+ Photoshop, Lightroom, and Final Cut Pro X, to include blemish removal, raw processing, log video colour grading, animated titles/transitions, and sync to licensed music.
+ I also shoot film! Nikon F100 35mm SLR and 55-year-old Rolleiflex f/2.8 Medium-Format TLR if you're into the film look (real deal - not Instagram filter).
For standard projects, I shoot for delivery in 4-7 days for photos and 20-30 days for video.
Many years of hiking, backpacking, splitboarding, and trail running in Colorado have given me a vast and intimate knowledge of the mountains. I love the opportunity to shoot deeper into the mountains - even if I have to hike with my gear for miles.
Onward and upward!
